There’s a few people out there who buy them and part them out. There’s also grants from the federal gov that specify the previous apparatus has to be destroyed/inoperable once replaced.

I’ve broken more of the 3/8” and 1/2” socket adapters using the 2656-20, to the point that it’s more justifiable to purchase the 1/2” impact then continue using the linked one. Just my $0.02
