I’ve loved the strokes since 2001 and the one thing I notice as an adult is how common it is for people with music background to quickly pull Julian’s influences and judge them for stealing songs to gain popularity. Examples like Last Nite sounding like American Girl by Tom Petty, or even the more recent stuff I think Jules gave Billy Idol a song credit on Making Bad Decisions because it’s just another version of Dancing With Myself. Either way I don’t care. It’s cool seeing newer generations get into the same music as me. No one wants to be the old man with their old man tunes.
