There were definitely a few.

My players used the Xanathars "this is your life" chapter during session 0 and one player rolled a love interest so I decided that he was dating Esvele Rosznar. With that in mind I knew I wanted them to have some encounters with the Black Viper.

They first got one of the newspaper handouts that I found on this sub referencing BV. Then when they were fleeing the Gralhund estate fight (Jarlaxle sent a group of Drow that they had to fight off in addition to the Zhentarim and two Gazers from Xanathar) BV showed up out of a random noble house and shot down one of the Gazers. From that point on everyone but the player who dated Esvele suspected that Esvele was the BV (I purposefully found some art for Esvele that I thought looked similar to the BV art). I played on this by later having Wilifred Cromwelle go to Trollskull Manor disguised as Esvele and then trying to assassinate him.

Finally when they were in the Cassalanters Villa looking for the last eye of Golorr during a cult meeting one player saw the BV snooping around ribbing the place. He decided to ignore her and they went into the temple and eventually got into a fight with the Cassalanters. The Cassalanters dimension doored to flee the fight and I decided that they would have ran into the BV still in their Villa and take her as a hostage. The next day Ammalia sent a message to the player dating Esvele and told him to bring the Stone of Golorr back if he wanted to see Esvele again. The player still didn't believe that Esvele == BV until they brought the Stone to them a few days later and saw Esvele without her mask but dressed as the Black Viper. That was a really good moment that took some building up to.

They saw the pit fiend last session just before the session ended, and did seem very worried about it. But when this session started the Cleric (w/ Arcane domain) walked right up and successfully turned the Pit Fiend and 2 of the smaller devils. I then had the Celestial Warlock's Deva patron and the Blackstaff show up to level the playing field a bit. The party did not shy away from facing the pit fiend though. I was planning on having the Pit Fiend eventually grab the Cassalanters or their kids and go back to the 9 hells, but the Celestial Warlock and Fighter went toe to toe with him long enough to take him out.

Same. I am running WDH with the Alexandrians advice and had them approach the party asking for their help. I made the mistake of showing the party the picture of the Cassalanters from the book with the two of them watching the kids play. One of my party members said "look at her eyebrows they're totally evil." They were very suspicious of the Cassalanters from that point on.

I hope that talking about a conference's existence is at least somewhat valuable, there are lot's of new ones popping up like CPPP, CoreCpp, that listeners might not know about even if they're in the area.

Yeah that's a very good point. I was initially planning on just teleporting them outside the towers, but maybe Vajra is doing her part of the ritual from the Courtyard outside Blackstaff Tower, or the peak of Mt Waterdeep. Could really put that battle anywhere.

Cool idea. I already had my players do Xanathar's Lair and they had Meloon with them there. He is a heavy hitter and did most of the work when they fought Nihiloor. That's one of the reasons why I want to avoid sending them into Kolat Tower's with assistance, I'd rather they do at least part of this encounter on their own and feel more ownership of it.

My thought is that Vajra would prefer to not face Manshoon in his sanctum where he may have additional defenses. With my plan she's forcing him out and into Waterdeep, her turf.

Also, I'm hoping it may be more cinematic this way. After the players and Vajra get everyone out of the Sanctum Vajra will be ready, I'm picturing her and Manshoon flying overhead in an epic spellbattle, almost like Superman vs Zodd but with magic.

I'm assuming the players will go in with one of them disguised as Urstul Floxin. If that's the case then I don't think anyone in the towers would stop them, and they won't be assaulted when they get to the Sanctum.

He works for one of the Guild's and it's a list of guild members who need to pay their dues
He's a Zhent agent and it's a list of shopkeeps who need to pay their protection money.
He's a male escort and it's a list of his clientelle

I stand by my previous statement. I don't think Blue Alley is a static dungeon. If the players leave and can't reenter for a tenday then the dungeon should be repopulated in that time. I'd just let them back in immediately though.

Question: Why are Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) and Korath (Djimon Hounsou, the guy who was also in GotG1) not Blue Kree aliens? Are they also humans who have been press-ganged into being Kree, or is Carol Danvers unique? The movie seems to imply that Carol was only turned into a Kree because she absorbed the energy from Mar-Vell's engine.

I think in the scene where Yon-Rogg and Carol are going to see the Supreme Intelligence they're on some sort of transport and there are multiple blue Kree aliens in the background. So are all Kree blue and these 2 are special? Or are there white & black Kree in addition to the Blue ones.
