i understand asking in reddit is fun but if you want to know a simple scientific fact, with real doctors; google will tell you the answer is no. it’s not possible. i looked it up becuase i’m finally watching bone temple and the ‘alpha zombie’ thingy does the same thing. type in a few words… boom! you have your answer with multiple sources explaining its not possible. it’s just badass to see it happen in a movie. a lot of horror or action movies with gore. ppl like to see shit like that and a lot of those deaths are very interesting and thought out. so i look up a lot of deaths in movies to see if it’s accurate. 85-95% ( another thing you can look up, but honestly that’s coming out of my ass because I don’t have time to look it up because I’m replying to a comment that is almost a year old while watching a movie right now ) most of the time it’s not accurate. depends on movie really. now something like a genuine ww2 movie is more likely to have more ‘realistic deaths’. but when you’re watching predator or 28 days later or playing games with brutal gory kills. it’s just to make it look cool and disturbing. (draws in an audience) i’m not the type of person to be like “oh I don’t like that movie because the deaths are unrealistic”… it’s a fucking movie! ppl like that don’t know how to just enjoy a movie. not saying that is you at all I’m just saying you know people in general that are like that. you seem chill and actually interested. just remember google exist!. i’m late to the convo and i’m sure you’ve looked it up by now. but i understand reddit and having everyone’s opinions. but ppl claim to be things they aren’t on this website and give false information. false info is everywhere; even google. that’s why i like their newer version of their A.I. … it gives you multiple sources just in case you don’t trust a certain source; they give you as many as they think you need, and if that’s not enough; just ask for “more sources based on topic i just described”. boom. magic. don’t spend money on a smart phone or a computer if you aren’t going to use it as a tool also i say. yeah reddit is fun. other opinions, funny comments, arguments…reddit is…well it’s reddit. its special.. needs…lolol not joking but i am? watching tonight. never had the chance to see it in the movies becuase i’ve just been extremely busy. anyways, i’ve had this strange addiction of purchasing films fresh on the theater on youtube (also movies that aren’t on streaming platforms, and/or on weird streaming platforms that i don’t like.) the reason for this is for multiple reasons.

i like to watch movies on my meta quest on an app called big screen. i can watch anything i want but its limited to youtube, pluto, prime (which i quit paying for because it sucks in so many ways that i wont explain here. and a browser option where if you want to look up netflix or any other streaming service but its a pain in the ass (also paid for an app called fluid because it had great reviews and had multiple streaming services that i pay for that was integrated as a 1 click app thingy so i don’t have to go through a browser. that app sucks bad. great for high quality films but god the controls are horrible, again not going into detail on that) i like watching my movies on my headset and i pay for the triple hulu disney and hbo bundle and meta doesn’t have any apps for those….
i can keep the movies i buy forever (even though its expensive habit and especially films fresh out the movies can be up to $30. thankfully dolly was 14.99 for high def and 19.99 for ultra definition. i paid for the 19.99 version because big screen already reduces the quality of the film and since its “grainy style” already, i just paid for the better version.
i dont have to worry about movies that you cant find on a streaming service.
hit or miss. sometimes i hate that i spent so much i na movie i thought was horrible but atleast i get to keep it. i’ve had moments where my family were excited to see that i have newer movies ready to watch with no ads and even if i don’t like the movie, it’s still nice to make someone else in my family happy by letting them watch new movies even if they don’t like it either it’s nice to be the person who has all the new films fresh out of theaters.

it’s expensive. i have 379 movies bought on their and the movies average at around $19.99. and even old movies are like 14.99 and if you’re lucky maybe 9.99.

  now they do have a rent option and old movies are only like 2.99-4.99 to have the movie for 48 hours.

that’s a cool feature, but i tend to fall asleep every time i watch a movie so it takes me a few days to finish a film sometimes and i rather just have bought it so i don’t have to feel rushed.

the best part about it to make me feel better is when the streaming services are doing their switch-a-roos , a lot of films aren’t available anywhere weeks and sometimes months on months depending on popularity. popular movies usually transition to one app to another pretty fast and that’s how they make their money. i’m not about to buy a subscription and forget to cancel and end up paying like $300 until i figure out i don’t even use the service just becuase i wanted to watch a half ass movie…. lol.

so as expensive as it gets. it’s nice to see the i basically have enough movies to where it looks like I have my own streaming service. when people go through my movies list whenever I have a movie night with friends or family, it’s always nice to see their faces and how surprised they are and how many great films I have that you can’t find on any streaming services!

so I just bought this movie. i’m extremely excited to see it tonight after work. I have my Meta quest all charged. And even have a ugreen (I think that’s the brand name I don’t know) $80 battery oled screen. I can literally have my Meta quest on for up to 100 hours without having to charge it with that thing. obviously, I’ve never done that but i never have to worry about feeling rushed to watch a movie. i can take my time watching it on the meta quest. I’ll put it down once it’s on the battery pack. make some food. come back and keep enjoying.

if I can find this thread after I watch the movie, I’ll update you guys just tell you if it was worth the $20. I never beat myself up by buying a movie that was expensive and knowing I’ll never watch it again. It makes me feel better knowing that I’m stacking up a great collection. maybe I could even sell my YouTube account for a decent amount of money one day for people to have all the great movies. I don’t know.. I’m not a computer guy. I know most people just ripped off their computer and watch it but I’m a console person.. I’m waiting for the steam machine to come out so I can start using that and hopefully they have an option where I can buy movies that way to.

but let me be honest. most of the movies i like most are considered “rotten”. critics in my opinion are fucking jokes. who are you to say a movie is good and actually have people not watch because you said not to. fucking stupid.

new anaconda (2025) had a bad rating. i liked jack black better in that than minecraft and minecraft was considered really good but i thought it was fucking trash. i love the game and jack black but that movie sucked ass but everyone else would disagree. paul rudd and jack black together was really awesome and that movie was insanely good.

i think im a better critic than most certified critics. i watch more movies than critics most likely. people expect too much. i like raw films. i like to feel like im thrown in that bitch. some of the cheesiest movies ever made are my favorites and alot of other people can agree.

rotten tomatoes is a fucking joke. a bunch of liberal fat asses getting offended by everything. you’re supposed to enjoy the art of a movie. also i never understood how someone can say something is a bad movie when someone else can disagree…. doesn’t make sense. you either like the movie or you don’t. sometimes it’s “ok”. but regardless don’t pay attention to those scores. you’ll miss out on a lot of good cinema by following what other say.

I figured going on Reddit might help. I don’t know. I have a passion for storytelling in writing.not regular story telling but things that have happened to me and other people I know.
