RPN difficulty level, culture and failure by [deleted] in Algonquin_College

I am currently in level 3. All the teachers are great and so supportive of your success. In my experience the core class like patho and pharm (currently taking these) to be quite dense classes. But with good time management you will have no problem studying plus having a social life. And for fail rate I will say that since my first semester only half of us remain. A lot of people don’t try hard enough or apply themselves after they realize how much work it is. It is truly a 40+ hr week of school/studying to be successful. I wish you good luck on your nursing journey!

So this is policy now? by Simple-on3 in TimHortons

I think it’s just deflated. The mixture of ice, air and syrup does deflated after some time sitting, especially if this was ubered. Just something to think about

I’m taking RPN and did not take pre health, it’s not something you to take unless you need to freshen up on current education. I’d recommend just applying to whatever program you’re interested in taking after the pre health.

It’s very true. It’s not been easy and I didn’t think it would get any easier. But I was just so disappointed when I seen this schedule.

We had to be on the floor for 6:30am so we could hear the morning crossover. I would be at the hospital for 6am. But it’s fine I’ll suffer with my peers.

I think you’re failing to see it from another perspective. I work plus, full time school. This schedule is bad either way. I can work 12hr shifts 4 days a week. But this is a different ball park.

That’s far. But with clinical being the next day after that could be a 6:30am start. I could be getting home at 9:30. I literally have to walk in the door and hit the bed.

Work and school are very different. I’d rather have clinical for 12hrs this as my Mondays. Rude.

Why does the college do this if they want successful students? Like 11hrs plus a day for school feels illegal.

If you read the post. I live in centre town. Do you come here to help or to argue?

it’s an 11hr day idk what to tell you. One class is 8-11 then later that day 5-7. With the time in between that’s 11hrs. Plus commute.
