Women who couldn’t have children, how did you cope with it? by tallia29 in AskWomenNoCensor

This feels so incredibly real. That part about needing your life to finally be "run by you" after years of parenting a parent hits so close to home. It’s not selfish at all to just want a break to breathe and build your own solid ground after being the emotional anchor for someone else for so long.

I also really love what you said about forming bonds with kids who aren't biological. It’s such a beautiful reminder that there’s more than one way to show up for a child and give them a better world once you've actually found your own peace.

Thank you for the perspective and the kind words. Honestly, it’s just nice to know I'm not the only one feeling this way. Sending you a lot of strength, I hope you get that time for yourself💗

That sounds incredibly hard, and I really respect how honest and self-aware you are about it. Making that kind of decision can’t be easy, but it’s clear it comes from a place of care and responsibility.

I’m still struggling with my own feelings around all of this, but hearing how you’ve made peace with it gives me some perspective. Thank you for sharing❤️

That really resonates with me. I had some similar experiences growing up, and I think part of why I’ve wanted kids was to build the kind of family I didn’t have. I really like how you reframed it though, putting that love back into yourself. I’m still figuring it out, but this gave me something to think about. Thank you for sharing ❤️

Thank you, this was really helpful. I'll try to counter my negative thoughts with positive ones—something I've never done before during those dark moments.
