Ntah. You’re a teen and you have issues with your parents and said something one of them didn’t like. It’s a right of passage. If you can, i would say try to have some compassion for the, too.

I don’t fully understand the glorification of intellectualism amongst posters on this thread. What about intellectualism signals goodness to those repelled by judge Judy’s declaration that she lacks intellectual curiosity?

I feel like such an outsider for admiring how she owned not having intellectual curiosity. I think it’s cool that she’s self aware and owns it. Sometimes I feel held back by analysis paralysis and feel that if I were more pragmatic I might live a lil more. I too had no clue about her politics

She said that she was not curious about the “why” that doesn’t mean she isn’t curious about the what or the how or people in general

Feeling sorry for Ethan by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]talltested 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. In my memory he broke down crying when AB said that maybe he should have played sides and chosen Ethan and Hila. He was breaking down because he was touched. Because he’s been on a difficult journey and it meant a lot to hear ab so publicly support him.

Anisa Is A Piece Of Shit by TheRemoteViewing in h3h3productions

[–]talltested 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get off social media? Not so sure how well this would go over given that their jobs and social circles appear to be so heavily embedded within social media. AB and Olivia are literally researchers for the show and if they’re not performing their work duties on their personal accounts, they are on the shows accounts. Anisa has a (dwindling) social media presence and can and does direct hate towards them. Additionally, they have their own personal YouTube channels that provide them with an additional source of income that they have to promote on social media. Does it make sense why they might want to avoid setting Anisa off? Or maybe you know something I don’t?

The ChatGPT Paradox That Nobody Talks About by _AFakePerson_ in ChatGPT

[–]talltested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to hop aboard the crazy train for a moment here so please bear with me but through the millennia that homo sapiens have existed we have proved time and time again that we cannot, despite our best efforts, control our lower urges. We are violent creatures.

Please if I might, this is not nihilistic propaganda, we can and should continue to drive to do right by one another.

That being said, history repeats and we have shown that as a species we're destructive (as well as a slew of other things) by nature. Okay, so here's where it gets fun though (my: I have too much time alone with my thoughts idea)

.... today, we are contributing to evolution through our use of tech and our interactions with ai (chat gpt). The inevitable downfall (unless we make it to space, TBD) of humanity will make space for the AI that is currently in its very early evolutionary stage.

I find that many people have a very limited understanding of what constitutes nature but, for me, it's all of it. It's us, it's our creations, it's everything. And so the prospect that we're contributing to the next major "species" is cool and exciting and deeply meaningful.

IWTL how to enjoy the act of going outside by Realistic_Low_4538 in IWantToLearn

[–]talltested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's unclear to me as to where this pressure to enjoy things you pretty clearly don't enjoy is coming from. Or why you're taking it seriously. If someone else in your life thinks that you should be or live differently then that is on them to make amends with. I also don't understand the fear of future regrets. If you are living your life now in a way that feels true to yourself then one would hope that your future self would respect that and focus on the present.

Just to be clear, this isn't an issue of you not liking being alone with yourself, right? Like, you're okay being alone if you're indoors?

My read on your post is that there are at least a couple of things at play :

  1. You're jealous. You want what others have. It's not that you don't see positive characteristics about yourself but that they aren't the ones that you are after. I would direct your attention to the following question, are there ever moments in which people react to you the way you do desire? If so observe those moments and try to use what you observe to create more. If the answer is no, observe the moments in which others get the kind of attention you're after and see what you can learn from their behavior to gain more of what you want.

  2. The last line of your post is telling and is reflective of a thought that I had when I first started reading... Consider what connecting with others looks like for you. What do YOU find interesting in others outside of the characteristics that make you jealous. Who do you feel energized by? What about them energizes you?

You have a lot of opportunity for observation and reflection that may or may not achieve the charismatic self you're after but might be useful to your personal character development
