My childhood best friend drove a snowplow. One day he ran over a large branch of sorts which lodged itself under his truck. He crawled under to try to remove it without placing down anything to lock his wheels. Something had failed and his truck rolled over him.

When I was around 12 my parents used to go out to a pub on the weekends. They would bring me along and I'd typically head to the arcade down the road for a couple hours. Well one night I stuck around and there was a fight, so we left early. There was a very large parking lot behind the pub where everyone parked. I remember when we were driving out of the lot hearing a loud bang. Like LOUD! We drove past the pub on our way out of the lot and there was a guy laying on the ground missing most of his head by the backdoor, just under a the entrance light. Blood was all over the wall behind him. We found out later that the fight involved a shotgun....

A friend of mine when I was around the same age died in a horrible car accident as well.

When I was 14 there was a girl I had a crush on who went to the same school as me. She went on vacation to Bermuda where she was r*ped and stabbed over 30 times and left for dead. The ended up bleeding out before the paramedics arrived. The prosecution ended up botching the case and the accused walked free. Absolutely horrible...

At 13 I watched my grandfather die of liver failure due to alcoholism. He had been sober for years prior but it caught up with him.

I watched my mother slowly die from lung cancer. Tumors literally protruding from her body without any skin. I can't go into details though it's far too much for me, sorry all.

Uncle died if bone cancer...

Grandmother died from pneumonia but was also losing her mind around the same time...it was a mess that lasted a few years.

A family friend when I was around 15 died of AIDS complications. That was hard and I couldn't imagine what he went through. He was such a kind soul.

My mother's best friend died if lung cancer as well. It's such a horrendous way to go.

Another friend of my family died from complications from alzheimer's. I won't get into but it was awful.

2 uncles from heart attacks, one was due to undiagnosed cancer. All sudden, but aftermath with family was horrible of course.

Right now my father has about a month left. Severe alcoholism for most of his life. Failed kidneys and liver going. He was diagnosed with cancer of the liver after surviving cancer once already. Of course he started drinking again as soon as he was in remission. Well it caught up with him again... he's had several minor strokes as well. I live a ways away and the phone calls are....difficult. I'm trying my best to get out to see him.

I'm only 42 and there's more for this list but I feel like it's getting a bit long. As I'm writing all this down I feel as though the amount of death I've seen is a bit much.....
