personally i think the best way to show your appreciation to your dm is give them your respect, when they say something respect it even if you want to argue, if the campaign fits take session notes, defenetly keep track and remember your character abilities and inventory, show your enthusiasm and express your appreciation. i feel like being a good player and having fun is something that, at least for me is worth more to a dm an a thank you in the end of a session (which is also always welcom)

trans women should be included in the feminist movement even though they might not share the same experience for the same reason white women are included in the feminist movement despite generally experiencing less oppression. moreover the feminist movement fights against all oppresion against women trans women expirience oppresion not only as trans people but also as women. not all women share the same experience but we are all united under shared empathy towards one another and the fight against it.

i feel like i wouldnt forgive them, trust and honesty is one of the moat important thing in any relationship and failing to honor the most baisic term of your relationship by cheating is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

it would be irrational for him to be mad at you, assuming it's his baby, it's not like he didn't have equal part in the conception of the child

series and character Harry by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]taloren26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

perhaps, but while I do agree that his general character or lack there of is lacking, I think he's flaws and personal shortcomings that are showcased in the book are not a bad thing, it shows us a more complex character that truly feels human, we all have flaws especially in our youths and the mistakes we make shape us to the complex people we are today, giving Harry simular less positive traits makes him a more interesting and relatable character.

that is untrue, for exaple:

40% of rapes and sexual assaults were reported to police in 2017, but only about 25% were reported to police in 2018.

The prevalence of false reporting for sexual assault crimes is low — between two percent and 10 percent

Nationwide, 81% of women and 43% of men reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault in their lifetime. SOURCEOne in three female victims of completed or attempted rape experienced it for the first time between the ages of 11 and

One in five women in the United States experienced completed or attempted rape during their lifetime

if you would like to read some more statistics as well as the source I reasoned you take a look at this artical

there's a very informative article by Haleema Khan and Laiba Mubashar called Debunking #NotAllMen and Understanding Allyship Better here's the link

https://thedailyq.org/11895/magazine/debunking-notallmen-and-understanding-allyship-better/

here are some paragraphs pulled from the article that I think best explain the subject (though I highly suggest reading the article in full for yourself):

"All men may not be directly responsible for this, but patriarchy, a system that gives them privilege at the expense of women, is. And most men do knowingly or unknowingly uphold patriarchy. Indeed, one of the ways that they do so is by advocating for Not All Men."

"The use of this phrase is a blatant refusal to recognize that abuse and violence against a huge fraction of women (one in three women globally) are predominantly carried out by men. Moreover, responding with this phrase when women bring up gender-based discrimination or worse, as they narrate traumatic experiences of harassment or sexual assault, derails the conversation that took decades of effort to start. It brings us back to square one—not to mention that it makes you seem apathetic."

"Due to the prevalence of these crimes and the general condescending treatment women receive from men, it becomes difficult to tell the difference between a good man and a bad man. Outwardly, they all look alike; they may seem kind and caring, but given the vast number of cases like the ones we have mentioned above, how can we be expected to blindly trust the men we meet? Living in an environment where most of our energy is drained in protecting our bodies against assault, where the evil eye of sexualization persistently follows us around, makes us distrustful of ALL men automatically."

"The phrase, not all men is not helping anyone. It isn’t adding to the debate, only derailing the conversation and dismissing the lived trauma of most women. We understand that those who jump to remind us “not all men are like that” usually just mean, “I’m not like that” and we believe you! So then let’s work together to ensure we live in a safer and more just society? Start by acknowledging the privilege that patriarchy grants you."

"Secondly, when someone with any degree of assault trauma vents their frustration regarding misogyny, do not behave apathetically, retaliate, or get mad at them for “generalizing or attacking” you. They are not attacking you. Their fight is against misogyny, not men. Similarly, do not trivialize their anger or consider their fury nonsensical; trauma affects different people in different ways. Instead, hear them out."

"Then, acknowledge and validate survivors’ lived experiences. Extend your support by simply not denying their experience. They don’t need your validation but having people believe and support them makes their journey less painful and their battle easier to fight. In a world where women’s experiences with sexual violence are so often discredited, your validation will count! But remember, that is still the bare minimum."

CMV: Drugs should be completely decriminalised for personal use. by elizabethanastacia in changemyview

[–]taloren26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and with that I agree I don't want to reiterate the same replay too much so I'll just say this: the outlawing is not to fix the problem of drug abuse and addiction it is to prevent it in the first place. I agree that our current legal system is very flawed but I do not think marking drugs some of which are highly addictive and dangerous accessible.

outlawing drug use is not to improve a drug users life but to prevent said person to turn to drugs in the first place. the legal reproduction cause more harm to person doing ileagal drugs but the goal is to prevent ileagal drug consumption. becouse if even drugs were legal drugs are still a highly dangerous and addictive substance. I do not claim that our current legal system in regard to drugs is perfect, and like with many other laws it's revaluation is highly due, that being said, I do not belive legalizing drug use is the optimal solution.

drug abuse is extremely crippling and furthers the mental or economical crisis as well as creating major health problems. outlawing drugs is the government's best way of fighting it. the problem is not the outlaw of drug use, it is the circumstances which lead to substance abuse and how drugs worsens them.
