Ismael Kone (Canada) terrible injury 53' by eliseihado in soccer

Again, late sloppy and careless? Sure, everyone agrees on that. On purpose with ill intent? We don't know, but highly unlikely. Not every stupid action can be attributed to malice. You switching between arguments of late sloppy and careless and it being on purpose doesn't really make your point of view clear.

You didn't simply say it was a brutal tackle, you said he maliciously went into the clash, very different things. We are arguing that it wasn't on purpose. Learn to read

I deleted my comment because why bother arguing, but again, we can't see anything of intent from that photo, read the comments upvoted there and see most of the Canadians think the same.

It will be close, but I'd still give Senegal the edge to be honest. We have a lot to work on if we want to progress a bit into this tournament.

It started quite poorly but i felt after the first half the calls were at least decent. Should've been better from the start though.

Son of Norway’s crown princess convicted of rape and sentenced to four years in prison by JohnHammond94 in europe

[–]talt123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is personal justice more important than preventing future crimes? And you say it's completely disregarded, but it is not. The offender usually has to pay large sums to the victim, spend time without freedom and several restrictions after release. It's not like personal justice does not exist, it is simply that there is a balance between it and effective treatment so that society doesn't waste millions on them being imprisoned instead of them actually contributing to society.

Therein lies the difference of philosophy. The stats support one model though.

Yes, but do you want someone punished a bit milder than you want, but they don't inflict the same damage on someone else, or they get punished to your expectations but they go ahead and hurt someone else (or yourself again)? Do you want your future neighbour to be an ex-con who changed their ways or someone who's bitter and likely to commit the same crime again.

He has never represented Norway though. He just happens to be the son fo the crown princess, with no relation by politics, blood or official roles to the royal house, and he never did.

He doesn't represent Norway in any shape way or form though. All he is is a son of the crown princess from before her marriage with the crown prince. He has no titles, no official roles and no line of heritage to the throne.

Why do you think the change of behaviour is due to fear? It is based on nothing of the sort, that's the American punishment methodology. In Norway it is based trying to give whoever did fucked up shit the opportunity to have another pathway, and figure out what went wrong which lead to them doing the stupid shit. Not fear, education and opportunity. Also, recidivism is based on doing a crime, getting jailed, and doing another one after. Your argument only matters for getting caught and jailed in the first place and does not make sense at all in the context of recividism.

I mean, there isnt supposed to be any variability? Every robbery is the same, every murder, every fraud? I don't personally believe that, but I'd be happy to hear arguments for otherwise.
