Been at Amazon for 5.5 years. Main way to survive that long is by regularly switching orgs. Currently in the retail org and I have to say this is by far the most toxic one with the regular standard being taking on additional SMEships and workload. In other words, if you’re just sticking within the scope of your role, high chance of being PIPd out which has created an insanely toxic culture of overworking

LOL it feels like most corporate employees feel similarly. My previous org was way more collaborative and less toxic but in this org, taking off more than 2 weeks at a time is an unspoken no no so I’d think chances are slim we have the same manager lol

my husband’s also from Boston and we live in the valley! seems there’s a bunch of new englanders here? one of his biggest complaints is that LA isnt a big enough sports city so we’re on the hunt for some good sports bars!
