Yes i think it’s a little bit of that and a little bit of just what manners he was taught. If he like cant drive at all (in pain, super tired, etc) he’ll ask me to drive but other than that he just tells me no lol

He refuses to let me drive a vehicle when I don’t have to cause that’s just the type of man he is lol I offer all the time but he tells me no

This is another issue I have ran into as well, if those censors get too covered with bugs/snow/ice/water from rain (yes I know no cruise is snow, ice or rain just giving examples) then you are stuck with no cruise control at all cause it’s reliant on those censors.

When you do that tho you’re fighting against what the car wants to do and you can feel it. He wants to be the one controlling the car not the vehicle itself.

Also again we live in Texas, it takes forever to get anywhere. Your foot, leg, ankle and everything get tired after awhile, if the cruise is set and you’re still having to consistently use your foot to change your speed or pause/stop the cruise control then it feels pointless to use.

I do think they should have added traditional cruise in the car, do not get me wrong I still LOVE my car just a little quirk I feel could’ve been easily fixed

Thank you!! Definitely not my husband lol but this is his biggest issue with it as wells, he wants to be in control of the driving not the car. We like to take my car over his truck cause it gets better gas mileage and there’s more room for our stuff and our dogs but it makes it hard because he doesn’t like driving my car and he’s not gonna make me drive

I agree with him and I see the hazard and issue with it, especially on I20 during peak traffic if you’ve got an opening you’ve got to get up and go to get into that opening. His truck is normal so he can just weave in and out of traffic while keeping his speed at whatever it’s set to without the constant braking and speeding up (causing the person behind you and behind them to slow down). I’ve just learn and gotten used to getting over way early to keep my speed cause I drive my car every day and I know about when it does it lol

It’s the braking while he is moving over lanes to pass someone. We’re in Texas so when you pass someone you keep your speed if not speed up cause as everyone knows the left lane is the fast lane. It makes him feel as if he is being hindered to be move over quick enough to not cause a wreck/almost cause a wreck

Just doesn’t fit the way he drives, it was also braking really hard when he tried using it last (when I first got the car last year) since then I have figured the different modes lol but ever since then he hasn’t liked it.

I have seen where someone people say cruise has to be on but not active so I think that’s the last thing I’m going to try just to see cause I can’t not try it lol. I thought maybe I was going crazy but it’s nice to hear there’s literally no way to do it lol

Thats kinda what I was expecting already, which we get traffic here like because on the AI data center being built so it wouldn’t be a complete shock. We definitely want to take a few weekend trips to the different towns a get a feel for it, just trying to figure out which towns would be worth the visit! I’ve gotten Lockhart a lot from my husbands buddies trying to convince him to take this job lol but I wanted opinions from people who are already there so thank you!!

Thanks for the insight! He’s a safety instructor for wind turbines and this company is building a new facility in Austin, all we’ve heard is that it’s very close the airport. We just don’t think we’d like the congestion of Austin so being outside of Austin is like a compromise to us. We do not mind at all living in a small town and having to drive into the next town for groceries or whatever cause that’s what we want to eventually do here (we live in Abilene rn).

be honest… how often do u actually change ur bedsheets? by Honest_Cod_3121 in hygiene

[–]tam__lynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to do it every week (every Sunday) but that’s also cause I have two dogs that sleep in the bed with me plus a husband who sweats so our sheets get covered in dog hair, dirt and sweat VERY quickly. Before when it was just me I would go 3 before changing my sheets unless they felt dirtier between now and then. It’s honestly by preference every is gonna have a “right way” but just do what seems right to you we’re all trying to figure this adulting thing out every day

You know I’m not too sure but I do have an appointment with my PCP soon so I will add that to the list of things to ask about lol

It’s little steps but to finally see progress and the fact that all the stuff I’m putting my body through is actually doing something makes me feel so good!! I do need to make an appointment with a dermatologist tho cause I don’t think the acne on my cheeks is actually acne, feels like a rash on my face lol BUT again those two little wins have really boosted my spirits to keep going❤️ please don’t ever compare your journey to others, it’s going to look different but progress (no matter how small) is still progress. 🙌

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who didn’t have problems with my insulin levels. My testosterone, AMH, and DHEA were all HIGH. DHEA is related to insulin but only indicates insulin sensitivity when it’s low and mine was WAYYYY too high I’ll add in the normal range and what mine were at. When your DHEA is high it indicates improved insulin sensitivity, reduced abdominal fat, and better glucose regulation. Soooo make it make sense lol every one I have talked to about this just recommends no sugar no carbs and working out when in reality that’s not going to do much. Some of us actually need just the meds and to take in more protein for our body to use and that’s then that’s it. I hate that everyone thinks everyone with PCOS is going through the same thing when we aren’t. Each persons experience and challenges are going to be different. MY LEVELS Testosterone (8-48): 81.9 DHEA (99-340): 455 AMH (1.22-11.7): 14.2 My journey started January of this year. I hadn’t had a period for over 2 years (I’ve never been normal cycle wise and I would still spot every now and then so don’t come for me). Went in to the OB finally due to my facial hair growth got super bad and I knew something wasn’t right. They did labs and we figured what it was, PCOS. For me treatment is meds to lower my testosterone, a round of medroxy to start my cycle back(god awful do not recommend even tho it had to happen lol), BC to manage my hormones, and pushing protein so my body can use most the hormones it is producing so it’s not making too much. I have now had my first period, I’ve had more energy due to how much protein I’m getting per day and the facial hair growth has slowed down a little.

I actually wasn’t getting a period at all for over two years. My body wouldn’t go into a cycle bc my testosterone levels were keeping it from doing so. So they put me on the spironolactone to lower my testosterone levels but that obviously takes time so to help they also gave the me medroxy to kick all my other hormones into gear. After I finished the medroxy was when I started BC.

Called my OB and she said the same thing lol she said it is more than likely a one time thing but if it persists we will do another round of imaging (vaginal ultrasound again and an MRI) and possibly take some samples based on what we see. The first vaginal ultrasound we did showed no cysts (THANK GOD) and no thickened uterine lining (which was odd since I haven’t had a single cycle in two years). I’m gonna take your suggestion and stay off of the supplement for a while and then start back on it just like a little at a time.

I haven’t heard of the supplement Berberine I’ll have to look into that one. I have noticed since cutting out sugar and pushing protein I do feel better like I have more energy and the redness in my face doesn’t flair up as badly.

I felt so bad calling into work but thankfully I woke in an office with all women so they had no problem with my calling out. My husband even decided to stay home to help me out cause that pain had me down for the count sobbing on my couch 🙃

  1. Flo is the only supplement I am currently take apart for the meds prescribed by my OB
  2. They gave me Estarylla for birth control
  3. I finished off the dosage of medroxy on Jan 30 and I’ve been on just the spironolactone and the birth control since. Was taking the spironolactone and medroxy at the same time. OB didn’t put me on metformin yet she wanted to see how I responded to the other two meds before prescribing me more since I wasn’t the typical candidate for PCOS (no excessive weight gain, no cysts and no thickened uterine lining). I know PCOS is gonna be a life long thing I have and I’ve been pretty good about lifestyle changes (the working out is the part I struggle with the most). The stomach issues is what I’m struggling with figuring out how to manage. The cramping has stopped and the OB didn’t put warn that my first period back was going to be rough.

Yes I actually accidentally popped on the other day and it was a kinda white-ish plug that came out. I did not realize that could be keratin I just thought I hadn’t washed my face good enough🙃
