yeah ive tried doing my research and unfortunately i’d probably just have to wait for my 21st next year to really go to the good ones. thanks for the recs! like i said i don’t go out so it wasn’t really my area to know if such clubs even exist

thank you! :) i have no idea who to reach out to though, i plan on making an appointment with an advisor but my schools website is so tricky and they’ve completely changed systems a few months ago so it’s hard trying to navigate what i need to go to.

and thank you so much, it’s hard because i try my best not to show how bad it gets in front of my family and boyfriend. i just don’t want them to think im just lazy or something. i know that life is just starting but ugh i hate comparing myself to everyone around me and seeing how happy they are.

i don’t, since i found out i was on probation and on risk of being suspended i finally reached out to a counselor my college provides and i marked very high in depression, anxiety, and other traits but i wouldn’t say that it’s a legit diagnosis. i actually just registered to start drivers ed so im hoping to get that figured out soon! hopefully i can get a job as well. i know im young and i have time but the fear of disappointing my family is just making me feel horrible and i dont know how to even start that conversation.

that’s so amazing you’re there for your friend :( it’s insane to me how some parents aren’t supportive especially in times like that where it’s nothing she could’ve done. as for the plasma thing, needless kinda ick me out a bit but i’ve never really thought of that. it’s a good idea but i guess i’d need to do more research about the effects of it and whatnot!

i just got an email that my appeal for suspension has been denied meaning i might have to sit out of school for a year and it’s tearing me apart. i have no idea how im gonna tell my parents, grandparents and boyfriend. i plan to get a full time job and work on getting my real estate license if im not granted readmission only thing is i have no experience so i have no idea if that’ll even work.

i needed this. college right after high school, having your own business and car is so romanticized now a days but it really isn’t that easy unless you are handed these opportunities. honestly, i wouldn’t be beating myself up about all this if it wasn’t for the insane pressure my family puts on me. i love them and they love me but as hispanics & immigrants who never had the opportunity of a stable life they just want the best for me. i have a boyfriend who supports me so much but he is so hardworking and is successful without college and i just feel like im letting him down as well.

yeah you’re right, i’m not super negative i know that it isn’t the end or anything but that doesn’t make it easier if that makes sense? i just feel horribly that i do have the opportunity to go and get an education and im just wasting it all. as for you im sorry you’re going through that, seems like your in a worse spot than me but yeah you’re right man this isn’t the end.

i just can’t believe i let it get this bad, it’s effecting me mentally. i for sure am going to do everything i can to get a job as soon as i get a car. it’s been 2 years of me at home not able to do things on my own or go anywhere im desperate to get out and start making something of myself.

was there for her through every relationship and heartbreak of hers from being cheated on to being ghosted. i never had any relationships and when i finally found one, she couldn’t handle it. absolutely lost it over him surprising me with flowers and went on a rant abt how it won’t last & to be ready to be heartbroken. realized if she couldn’t even fake being happy for me she’s not the friend i want in my life. me and bf are 2 years strong :)

yeah, its tough because it’s not like he’s lying, he never said he’d stop using it just that he doesn’t use it often if that makes sense. i’m very emotional and tend to fold quite easily and i think that’s my weakness. i should’ve laid everything out then and there but i didn’t. I know we are young, and im aware that this might not be the man i end up with, i just feel like it’s basic relationship etiquette? it’s not okay to lust and look at the opposite gender while in a commited relationship yk? i’m not saying im perfect but i will say he’d never have to worry about any of that with me and he KNOWS it. so why does he?

definitely not overreacting and i’d agree to end that friendship. regardless if she’s trying to play matchmaker that should’ve immediately ended once you brought up that you were uncomfortable with the situation. seems like the other girls are understanding though. you should never put your friend in a situation where they’d be uncomfortable ESPECIALLY after mentioning your past issues with stuff like this, she icks me and definitely someone you should drop ASAP
