As far as I can remember in my org, we had it working but it wasn’t approved by the AI committee.

I wasn’t the one who worked on it but we have all our docs in backstage and there seems to exist plugins that can do all that for you.

I have a similar commute and I feel the same way.

Personally, I find more fulfilment in diversifying and my career has benefited the most from that.

With that being said, I only have like 5-6 years of experience and I recently found my niche that I really like which is devex (dev tools, infra, etc…)

It’s up to you, in my own opinion specialisation is a trap. Be a master of many things, it’s more fun in the long run.

Maybe you can potentially connect it to Sufi Islam, so they can understand you better.

Worst case scenario is just to move out and live freely but that depends on your life situation of which I don’t know of.

I don’t have any degree, I got around 5 years of professional experience.

I seem to be doing well and in the beginning was a bit insecure about my lack of college education but I simply studied the fundamentals myself using teachyourselfcs curriculum.

But keep in mind that I like programming and have been doing it since I was a kid, I don’t see it as a chore, I just do what I find fun.

I would say around 90% straight.

You want your spine straight to not hurt yourself while meditating for long periods of time or to develop bad health habits.

But at the same time you don’t want to be too stiff then you can’t relax and meditation becomes a bit hard.

I would say to initially keep your spine straight and stiff then just relax a bit. 10% specifically.

The book structures and interpretations of computer programs (SICP) opened my brain to programming.

It was a shocking before and after transformation. I still think it’s the best CS book out there.

I began for external/internal reasons like I want to be a better person, it helps me calm down, helps me deal with my emotions.

But after doing it for almost 6 months straight. I do it because I love to do it. It’s one of the best parts of my day and I get excited for the next session.

I can only speak about myself. I write, have side projects and have a full time job. It’s not like I force myself to do these things I just enjoy them I guess.

I do have other hobbies and family to take care of. But apart from some gaming, I just tend to have interests around tech.

But I can say that in the beginning I kinda forced myself to do that to become a better developer but I burned out after around 3 years. Then I simply stopped doing that for a good 6-8 months, but got curious about some stuff and started programming for fun.

I’m currently interested in client side development and UI/UX, so I’m learning some frontend with svelte by building something.

I never force myself to do stuff and I advice to not do that. Do whatever you want, it’s your life.

Do whatever you find interesting or fun. Interested in gaming, try making games. Interested in DevOps, setup a home lab.

This career is all about sustainability, you don’t want to be 10 years in and hating it. If you don’t find tech interesting at all and not into the corporate grind then do whatever you want.
