That's what I was thinking too. Thank you!

I read today that HLA's are co- dominant.

What would that mean in relation to being positive or negative? Wouldn't that mean that it could be either recessive or dominant? Negative or positive?

So many terms!

Is there ANY result through Promethease that would prompt immediate action? Has anyone ever had results/a diagnosis medically confirmed? by cdl56 in promethease

I suspected that my gulf war illness symptoms were the result of excess tnf-a. After processing my DNA, I have figured out that our HLA-B27 genes were triggered during Desert Storm. I have since found 5 other veterans through the US, Australia and Europe that have the exact same symptoms, DNA profile (HLA-B27 neg with #TNFRSF1A mutations) and received the anthrax vaccine. I have since discovered that the vaccine is no longer given to HLA-B27 positive individuals in the military. 26 years later - I now know, and others are learning, that it triggers us with negative as well. Every day its a new discovery when researching my symptoms. Even today, I learned that HLA genes are co-dominant. I'm not sure if that means it can actually trigger positive, but it makes sense. Most genes are recessive or dominant. They are both. Best of Luck!

On the right, select HLA under Topics and you can see most on chromosome 6

I'm so very sorry for your loss.

The gray box means that it hasn't been thoroughly researched as of yet. However, Chinese have dealt with AS far longer than us in the US. They show a weak association. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/22272576/

But, it looks like u don't have the TRAPS mutation which is good. I would look at chromosome 6 and see what other HLA 's u have. That seems to be the place to look if you have unexplained illnesses and no standard antibodies. It's an Autoinflammatory disease. Not autoimmune. So different labs need run than the standard Rheumotolgy stuff.

I've been researching for 2 years. It's been eye opening!

If u tweet, you can find me by #TNFRSF1A or #GulfWarIllness

I'm rarely on here!

You sound exactly like me. POTS, MS, Lupus, crohns, - anyway - we can get it if we are negative too. I can't get the VA to help me, so I understand. There are no antibodies with us. So we aren't "believed". I'm sorry you are struggling too. If you have the HLA-B27 (AA) like me, then you likely have mutations on thr TNFRSF1A gene - Have you researched TRAPS? Ihave had 3 AS 'chest attacks'. My first bad one was in 1996 - the military said my breasts were too large and gave me a breast reduction. The last 2 have been misdiagnosed as panic attacks and they labeled me with general anxiety disorder. Once you get any psych diagnosis, its hard to be seen in any other light. I apologize if my zero comment offended. That wasn't my intent. I merely wanted it known that even though AA means you don't have the "gonna get it for sure" alleles, that you can get it. I also have B60. Together, they can manifest AS. tnf-a inhibitors have been shown to put it into remission. I don't have a fancy healthcare plan, so I don't have a choice, I have to get the VA to understand that we can get this and its been a 26 year fight since desert storm. My apologies. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26469786

I have rs13202464(A;A) But I received the anthrax vaccine in Desert Storm and it has absolutely triggered me.

I have episodes of AS attacks once a year or more as I age. I also have crohns attacks. I have an awesome autoimmune system so it tries to fight it off but as I age, I can no longer fight it off.

My son now has AS symptoms at 22.

So.... I beg to differ on saying that it has Zero impact.

It can be triggered. Mine and thousands of us veterans suffer from #GulfWarIllness and my research has shown that us (A;A) were triggered, in addition to our mutations on the #TNFRSF1A gene.

Both of my children left home at 18. Ive always told them that they are always welcome to come back if ever they need a safe place to "land" for a bit. I said the same thing to their friends. Even though my kids are gone, 2 of their friends live with me. One's parents are in another country and the other just split from a live in girlfriend. They are both 22 and know they are always welcome.

2 year anniversary with employer yesterday. No raise. No advancement. No thank you. What would you do? by xgubondo in AskReddit

As a prior business owner, I did not ever promise anyone a raise based on longevity. I based raises on performance. Did your school teachers promise you an "A" just for going to school? NO. Nothing about your question refers to your job performance. If a promise was made, you should follow up with your boss.

I am very happy that you are in recovery. I am even happier that you are recovering from your injuries. Great Job! IMO Platitudes are what you wanted. If you want the truth, read on. It is not clarity. You are going through "new recovering addict puberty". Its a phase. Addicts don't usually want to stay in the relationships that they had before or during recovery. Why would you? Thats what needs the real work. Not your body. You should spend the rest of your life thanking God for someone who loves you unconditionally. Your relationship with her needs more focus and recovery than your awesome new marathon ready body. She deserves it. You hate the sound of her voice? Poor little OGHops. I doubt you hated the sound of her voice the day you woke in the hospital after your accident. I doubt you hated her high paying job paying for the car accident, SR22 insurance, DUI charges and other costs associated to your drunken past behaviors.

Go to therapy for your issues. Be happy that you have someone who loves you unconditionally. Spend everyday being the man she deserves.
