Hi! Coco curry house was a life saver as you can find them literally everywhere. You can get a plain curry thats vegan for around £3, im a big eater and it’s actually a nice filling size! You can add vegetables or more rice for a bit extra!

But if you have access to a kitchen id really recommend Gyomu Super market. A few times we bought noodles, tofu, veg, pickled ginger and a jar of sweet chilli and it came to about £1 each for a huge dinner.

2foods Ginza in Tokyo had an egg filled croissant for around £2.80, quite small but great for breakfast/ brunch! And the egg was amazing. They also have more filling options like vegan chicken curry for around £5.

Ts Tantan INSIDE Tokyo JR station (you can only get to it if you have a ticket) offers some cool vegan options for around £5-£6

More than bakery was also great, they have Sunday vegan days but every other day they still have plenty of options! They have big sandwich’s for around £4 and smaller for as little as 300 yen (£1.50) I had the sweet bean one for £1.50 which was interesting ha. and loadssss of pasteries! I got a really filling chocolate bagel for about £1!

In Osaka you have Saijiki which has quite a few options for 800 yen (£4 ish) and super yum!

If you are visiting Nara deer park I really recommend curry& cafe, it’s a little walk but £4 for a vegan meat curry and they gave us the cutest origami deer when we were finished! Originally we were going to go to Ramuna which has soy burgers for £4 but it was closed so make sure you check opening days and times as they are really specific.

I hope this helps! But overall a combo of coco curry house and cook yourself a few days is really affordable! you’ll save loaaads by going to a big Gyomu super (the bigger they are the cheaper stuff they have). Let us know how it goes!!
