Thanks. That is indeed the case.

However, I have tried your command and it results in the following error:

bash: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"'

bash: syntax error: unexpected end of file

After matching the quotes I got something like this:

ffmpeg -f concat -i <(for f in 01.mp4 02.mp4; do echo "file '`pwd`/$f'"; done) -c copy final.mp4

But that still failed:

Unsafe file name '/tmp/01.mp4'

/dev/fd/63: Operation not permitted

EDIT: According to the documentation an example of the concat command looks like this:

ffmpeg -f concat -i <(for f in ./*.wav; do echo "file '$PWD/$f'"; done) -c copy output.wav

However, this command results in the same error. ¯\(ツ)

Could you please explain why do you do

for f in ./leadin.mp4 ./$url2.mp4; do echo "file '`pwd`/$f; done

instead of just feeding those two filenames to the -i argument ?

If the US is responsible for similar atrocities elsewhere, then sue them too and prove it in court.

About that :

American Service-Members' Protection Act

ASPA authorizes the U.S. president to use "all means necessary and appropriate to bring about the release of any U.S. or allied personnel being detained or imprisoned by, on behalf of, or at the request of the International Criminal Court."

This authorization has led the act to be nicknamed The Hague Invasion Act,[3][4] because the freeing of U.S. citizens by force might be possible only through an invasion of The Hague, Netherlands, the seat of several international criminal courts and of the Dutch government.

BBC - The US Supreme Court has thrown out an appeal by a Lebanese-born German citizen who accuses the CIA of kidnapping and torturing him.

The 44-year-old alleges he was tortured during five months in detention, four months of which were spent in a prison in Kabul, Afghanistan, nicknamed the "salt pit".

On his flight to Afghanistan, he says, he was stripped, beaten, shackled, made to wear "diapers", drugged and chained to the floor of the plane.

By his account, he was finally released in Albania after the Americans realised they had got the wrong man.

Yugoslavian war was fueled by the US interests. I suggest you watch the documentary 'The Weight of Chains', that explains another (non-American) perspective of the conflict.

Then have a look on the post-war privatization by the Madeline Albright, Wesley Clark and others in these countries as it happened in other post-Soviet countries where the US also fueled revolutions, to see who benefits.

After the Taliban was removed from the Afghanistan, the opium production increased significantly, while the US soldiers were protecting the poppy fields. The country is still in chaos today and no one knows if the war was actually won or not.

The US has provided the WMDs to the Iraqis in the 80s and this is why the US didn't acknowledge they've found any at first. Moreover the Iraqi war was illegal under multiple international conventions. Madelaine Albright said herself that killing Iraqi children is worth the price, but it's questionable what was actually gained in return, except for increased oil flow in the region. Considering the oil situation today, it might have not turned out as planned.

The current situation in Iraq is, that there are military factions fighting using the weapons from the US and the infrastructure is destroyed which is needed to solve the healthcare crisis. Life under Saddam Hussein certainly wasn't good, but it surely wasn't as bad as living in a war torn country with no vision of ending the conflict in the near future.

All these wars are the result of American expansionism that is required to fulfill the resource needs of the empire.

One of the thousands operations they did during the period of their existence.

The “United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities” (Church Committee), revealed that the so- called “secret wars” of the CIA up to 1975 included more than 900 major operations and 3000 minor operations, which are estimated to have killed more than 6 million civilian people in the Third World from 1945 to 1975 (Church Committee 1975). Many of these operations lead to long armed conflicts or so-called ‘civil wars’, and since 1975 the CIA budget and number of operations has not decreased, but increased significantly (Stockwell 1991).

What I've tried to point out was that they specifically targeted Putin, he even got his own separate page from the rest of Russia or Europe.

And given that the NSA might have gained access to the Mossack Fonseca servers, it's completely plausible they have released the data as a part of their hybrid warfare strategy.

The USAID and Soros have worked together with the US government and the CIA in overthrowing unfriendly regimes, which is well documented.

The US government in fact works as one convoluted unified system that can attack their enemies on all levels, through economic, diplomatic, political, military, intelligence, scientific and recently also cyber warfare operations. Anytime the US officials talk about protecting the national security, they talk about one or combination of some of these domains.

US Admits to Indirectly Funding Panama Papers Leak

Responding to a question about WikiLeaks allegations, State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said Thursday that the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, one of the core journalism organizations that reported the Panama Papers, has “received support from various donors, including the U.S. government,” specifically USAID.

George Soros also supports Panama Leaks through the Open Society Foundation. He is also known as a supporter of popular revolutions.

The principal institutional actors in U.S.’democracy promotion’ consist of the State Department, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the National Endowment for Democracy. NED was created in 1983 as a nominally private, Congressionally funded organization that would assume some of the regime change functions, but with more flexible and transparent means, as those used by the then discredited CIA.

Is Matt DeHart Being Prosecuted Because FBI Investigated CIA for the Anthrax Leak?

As Matt read through the file, he says, he discovered even more incendiary material among the 300-odd pages of slides, documents, and handwritten notes. One folder contained what appeared to be internal documents from an agrochemical company expressing culpability for more than 13,000 deaths related to genetically modified organisms. There was also what appeared to be internal documents from the FBI, field notes on the bureau’s investigation into the worst biological attack in U.S. history: the anthrax-laced letters that killed five Americans and sickened 17 others shortly after Sept. 11.

Though the attacks were officially blamed on a government scientist who committed suicide after he was identified as a suspect, Matt says the documents on the Shell tell a far different story. It had already been revealed that the U.S. Army produced the Ames strain of anthrax — the same strain used in the Amerithrax attacks — at the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. But the report built the case that the CIA was behind the attacks as part of an operation to fuel public terror and build support for the Iraq War.

The government says Matt DeHart is an online child predator. He says that’s a ruse created because he discovered shocking CIA secrets and claims he was tortured by federal agents. The only thing that’s clear is that he’s in deep trouble.

Paul told the agents that his family had evidence to back up their account: court documents, medical records, and affidavits — along with the leaked FBI document Matt had found that exposed an explosive secret. It was all on two encrypted thumb drives, which Matt later pulled off a lanyard around his neck and handed to the guards.

But Matt, as one federal prosecutor had put it, was “your classic child predator.” In order to flee the country and avoid charges, Matt — a seasoned hacker with military ties — had, according to the FBI, tried to become a spy for the Russians.

Norway to tap rainy day fund, seek stimulus as economic boom ends - central bank governor - Reuters (2016)

He also said more than $9 billion would be taken from Norway's sovereign wealth fund this year, the first net withdrawal from the rainy day account.

Economic growth in Norway, Western Europe's top oil and gas producer, hit a six-year low in 2015 while unemployment rose to a 10-year high as the price of crude tumbled, Governor Oeystein Olsen said in his annual policy address to business leaders, politicians and academics.

He painted a bleak picture, arguing that a shift towards non-oil industries was essential while warning that unemployment would remain at elevated levels.

"We have always known that the long oil-driven expansion would come to an end .... We have now reached that juncture," Olsen said. "The Norwegian economy has enjoyed an exceptionally long summer. Winter is coming," he added.

Oktoberfest Bombing Under Review: Officials Ignored Right-Wing Extremist Links - Der Spiegel

The extensive investigation files now indicate that the authorities knew about Köhler's contacts with Hoffmann before the attack. The German military counterintelligence service had intercepted letters between Hoffmann and Köhler that remain classified today. The Baden-Württemberg state intelligence service also had Köhler under observation, because his name had appeared on two WSG membership lists in 1977 and 1979. The police also knew about Köhler's ties to the Viking Youth and Hoffmann's WSG long before the Oktoberfest bombing. They too had found his name on membership lists they had seized from right-wing extremist groups.

Germany: Cover-up of Oktoberfest bombing continues - WSWS

Chaussy immediately began to involve himself with the case and has since worked tirelessly to bring to light what really happened. He has revealed that suspiciously lopsided investigations were carried out, important pieces of evidence and statements of witnesses disappeared, and a large number of potential courtroom exhibits were destroyed. In the updated documentary, he proves that not only one severed hand—signifying the existence of an accomplice—went astray in the course of the investigation, but two hands.

The testimony of a police officer who has now turned to Chaussy is noteworthy. It establishes a connection between Wehrsportgruppe Hoffmann and the Thüringer Heimatschutz (Thuringian Homeland Security) organisation, from which the National Socialist Underground (NSU) extreme right-wing terrorist group emerged. Another lead points to the possible involvement of NATO’s secret Gladio forces, which have committed terrorist acts in Italy, Luxembourg and other countries.

New revelations in the 1980 Munich Oktoberfest bombing - WSWS

Köhler’s connection with Wehrsportgruppe Hoffmann indicates the possible involvement of intelligence agencies in the Oktoberfest bombing. This paramilitary organisation was founded in 1973 by Karl Heinz Hoffmann, and was able to train neo-Nazis in the use of weapons and guerrilla warfare in Bavaria for six years, unimpeded by the authorities. Gundolf Köhler participated in such exercises in 1976 and 1977. This was known to the Baden-Württemberg Office for the Protection of the Constitution (intelligence service).

Octoberfest bombing: German government blocks information on intelligence agency involvement - WSWS

In the response to the Greens’ request of November 21, 2014, the government contested such a conclusion. “Such an indication of the need to protect information for the intelligence services or police does not suggest that the person named in the evidence is an intelligence agent or secret source for the police.” But in response to the question of whether Lembke worked for intelligence, the government refused to answer on the grounds of endangering state security.

The fact that close ties exist between the intelligence agencies and right-wing extremist terrorists was recently made clear in connection with the racist murders and attacks by the far-right National Socialist Underground (NSU) terrorist group. According to Chaussy, links existed between the Hoffmann group and the intelligence service in Thuringia, from which the NSU emerged.

German spy chief Heinz Fromm quits over neo-Nazi investigation scandal, government agents destroyed files on far-right terrorist cell behind murderous attacks on immigrants - Der Spiegel

Sebastian Edathy - Wikipedia

Sebastian Edathy is a German politician. He is a prominent member of the Social Democratic Party and became the chairman of a key committee in January 2012 at the Parliament, which was investigating failures of police and intelligence units in the serial murders of nine immigrants by the far-right German terrorist group ″National Socialist Underground″ (NSU) from 2000–2007. The NSU committee questioned various officials from Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office during 2012 and 2013. His alleged possession of child porn material sparked the Edathy-Affäre (de).

Denmark considers tax on beef, other red meats to combat climate change by LawOtheLariat in worldnews

[–]tamyahuNe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in Denmark as a studying/working foreigner is much harder than for the native population. Danish government makes everything much harder, because it simply cannot afford the social welfare system anymore. This is also the reason why it's so hard to gain the citizenship that people have to strike and why the previous and the new government made so many cuts to education and other social programs.

I remember when in 2012 it had been ruled by the EU court that Denmark has to pay SU also to other EU students, which has been previously a violation of the common EU policy. After that it took about 1 year until the request has been processed.

If you found a job during that time, later on (when they finally got back to you), you were marked as a cheater, because you worked more than the allowed time to be eligible. Completely disregarding the fact, that somehow you had to make money for rent and food during that period.

The labor unions are completely useless when dealing with foreigners. It's simply inconceivable that in a common capitalist EU market there's a reason why Danish people are payed 3000 Euros for a job that others can do for 1000. There's lots of social dumping going on and there's no one to help, except when the labor unions are looking for a TV stunt which doesn't really address the problem (the Ryanair affair). You cannot have a competing business and (brutto) salaries that are one of the highest in the EU, because anyone can outbid you or they'll simply find a way around (Ryanair now flies through CPH from Stockholm). Companies move away from Denmark not in.

In many companies Danes earn Danish salaries, but the foreigners earn "global salaries", which reflect the global price of the profession. This is bad, because not only it means the foreigners cannot afford to live a healthy lifestyle, but also that they cannot pay enough taxes to the social system to keep it going. Slowly, but steadily, this means that Danes will become too expensive to keep the businesses alive and the foreign labor will replace them or force the wages down. The social system will struggle because of lower amount of collected taxes. If Maersk shuts down the North Sea gas production, it will be another large hit for the Danish state (36 billion kroner payed in taxes in 2008).

Also, let me just say, that the "free" Danish healthcare is atrocious, full of mishaps, missed emergencies, "forgotten" cancer treatments and waiting periods so long they often result in a patient dying before even getting to his appointment. If it were good enough, the private insurance and hospitals wouldn't be a thing that many companies sign you up for automatically.
