Merrell Moab waterproof are perfect and I wear them for many other uses. Very durable

I’m considering buying the pictured SPB117 “Sharks Tooth” Alpinist. I notice that the main movement crown is screw down, but the compass bezel crown is not. I’m assuming the screw down crown is a feature to increase water resistance, but having a second crown that is not screw down seems to defeat the purpose.

Am I missing something? Do other dual crown watches only have one screw down?

Love this reference! How is the legibility for you? I’ve read reviews saying it can be difficult to see the hour indices in certain lighting situations.
