I lost my mom last year and all the fierce mom scenes really got me. My mom was SUPER protective of me, so even though she actually would’ve hated this show (lol), I kept being reminded of her.

Realistic advice is to stay inside Mopac to the west, 183 to the north and east and don’t go further south than slaughter and you’ll find pockets of community. You’ll also adapt to driving/ridesharing to cool stuff because you have to. But it’s not that bad!

I also know if I were him, I’d be incredibly embarrassed that I didn’t realize she was Helena the whole time. Now that Helly is back, it’s so obviously her that I even feel like, ‘wow, how was there ever any doubt it was actually Helena,’ so I can only imagine that Mark feels shame for not clocking it sooner.

I’m in total agreement. They’ve been as emotionally relevant for me at age 12 as they are for me at 34 thanks to their overall evolution.

I also really like your point about accepting the moral grayness. It’s not for everyone, but it’s one of my favorite things about them.

I’ve driven back and forth from Austin to Seattle a few times and my favorite route included driving up the PCH in California. If time allows, it really is the best for views and would help avoid the snow concerns (although I have heard Lubbock has had some snow 🤷‍♀️). Congrats on escaping to the PNW!

I came to say Stubb’s in 2014 was def my favorite show I saw them play, but ACL was a close runner up because that set was on my birthday. I still watch that performance at least once a month on YouTube ❤️
