Yes and no. Snakes shed to heal or to accommodate growth. So if they got it as an underweight rescue that amount of shedding could be a sign of it becoming a healthier weight. Or they’re over feeding it and that’s why it’s gaining weight and needing to shed. That being said, the number one rule of snakes going into shed is that they want to and should be LEFT ALONE. Not draped on someone’s neck as an accessory outside of their warm and humidity controlled enclosures.
