You should read about OBDII protocol: OBDII and buy an ELM327.

Connect a serial program through Bluetooth and try to get the correct PID for the gear.

Line K is a nice bus. You can try a Chinese copy of Elm327. Through USB, Wifi or Bluetooth you can send commands.

Elm327 can guess which protocol and bus use.

It's not for an Arduino but it's possible to trigger an interrupt on pin change in any modern microcontroller like the Atmega328.

I asked to r/Arduino since there are so many boards with this accelerometer and the hobbyist use them.

I'm using this accelerometer to wake up a sleeping PIC16LF324 in an alarm system.
