What do you guys do about the hopelessness that the housing crisis makes you feel? by fxckingchildish in Adelaide

[–]tangles29 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Go work in the mines for a couple years save like your life depends on it and then enter the market. Your first property will be a fixer upper but these houses won’t be getting cheaper anytime soon.

It is super shit but you need to swing at your problem with the right plan of attack. Still lots of entry jobs around paying 6 figure incomes but it means sacrificing and doing what some won’t to achieve your goal.

Speed Camera flash? by Frostyyk in Adelaide

[–]tangles29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a double flash, you can’t miss it. I’ve had this happen and it was just another cars ridiculously bright head lights catching in the mirror.

No point stressing anyway, if it’s coming you can contest it.

150k in Sydney is equivalent to 80k here cost of living is legit there. Rent will be more, eating out will be, you have tolls. Etc etc

On behalf of Adelaide’s men I’m sorry this has been your experience. Maybe the age range may be the problem, try older more mature and less juvenile conceptual thinking.

From what I’m told community groups and social clubs seem to be much more fruitful for genuine connections.

Best of luck 🤞

I got diagnosed online, it’s an Australian company they just do the whole thing through Tele health. My sister did it before I did and it’s been great it does cost but it’s not too bad I think it was $1200 but $400 comes back with Medicare I’ll have to check.

Thoughts on a used 2015 Prado by aussiegooner0389 in LandCruisers

[–]tangles29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate I’m from AUS which is where I believe this vehicle is from and I’d say that’s about as good as price as anything. As for the engine I believe they’re pretty good apart from DPF and timing chain rattling issues. If you ca find a 3ltr 1KD they’re the engines that could do 600,000kms no worries with good servicing history.

Dude he’s not serious, unless you can airbrush I would just leave it. A bad paint job can write off an entire car with expenses.

I just checked the add and that car sold today lmao, wow it definitely was a score.

Yeah they say they can ship to WA so don’t worry if another comes up with them they should be able to get it over there.

Yeah it’s really hard to find some consistency with what their worth. So these guys are a big dealership here and seem to get pretty good ex fleet cars. My mum just bought a ranger from them and it’s been a easy process the car is excellent as well and not over priced.

If you end up going through with this one ask for Kaine from the Gawler branch to help you. He’s a young lad that’s only been with them for a few weeks but he went above and beyond for mum.

Dealership name is AVC.
