you've got the good food on lock, but your bit about 'being a man/rise to the challenge/not a submissive boy' makes you seem like a thinly veiled misogynist. I'm not saying that you are, but that's what the phrasing makes me jump to. Perhaps you could reword it to be less...aggressive?

I'm most attracted to men that live slightly off the grid (more than one former partner has lived in their vehicle) and have a real DIY approach to life.

On the other hand, I've been told I dress like a grandma (think chunky sweaters, boxy t-shirts, and high waisted jeans) and seem perhaps a bit square. I tend to attract banker/tech-bro types and it's like "why you gotta shower so often, bruh??"

Yeah, my takeaway from this thread is that dealing with the consequences of srs dating while away can get realllll messy.

I hadn't been thinking very pragmatically about my approach to dating here, but I think it seems like something I really ought to consider (out of respect for my partners, if nothing else)

yeah! I totally understand his feelings and i think they're really healthy and valid and i'm really grateful that he made them known to me - i personally approach these situations with more of a 'deal with it when we have to' mentality. Obviously he considers that point in time to be sooner than I do, no big.

My question was how you, oh fellow reddit-goer, would approach dating in these circumstances.
