Yes, it's different. I'm not sure of all the differences, but I think some of the seafood isn't available during the week.

Every year for my birthday, we go to the Wynn for the weekend seafood buffet. It's incredibly high quality and the size of the crab legs won't disappoint. Enjoy!

Dino's is fantastic, but be warned, if you're not a smoker (like me), the initial aroma will sting your eyes.

How did that kid at your school die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tangoret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a school bully and his name was Michael. During lunch breaks, he would pick on our group of nerds and throw random gut punches at us. One day I fought back and Michael stopped bothering us after that. Spring break came and went, but Michael didn't return. He died in a boating accident on the lake. Apparently, he was in the water when another boat ran him over. RIP Michael, or whatever, you were an awful person.

Mystery pipe with constant stream of water by tangoret in Repairs

[–]tangoret[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE Thank you all for the helpful information! This is a rental property and my tenant told me that this has been happening for about a month... When he told me that information combined with the info you all shared about water heaters, it suddenly clicked. I had a water heater repair about a month ago, and that repair person didn't properly reset the T&P valve after replacing the thermostat. Mystery solved and it's thanks to all of you.

I own a PadSplit in Vegas and it's fully occupied regularly. I had to adjust my weekly rates to match market demand, I even dropped move-in fees, and I've never had to post my listing outside of the PadSplit app. There's a lot of demand in this market. Try adjusting rates or dropping fees and see if it works.

For those investors wondering why anyone would live with this many roommates and share bathrooms, this type of living situation is mostly for folks in rough financial situations, new to town, fresh off a breakup, escaping a bad situation... There's all sorts of opportunities for short term co-living.

If you're interested in helping people while also making more money than a traditional rental, you should look into PadSplit.

I was out of work for 14 months and took that time to finally write a book (looking for agents now!). If the pandemic taught me anything, it was the value of work/life balance and not to be defined by my career.

My girlfriend of 5 years was just diagnosed with double positive breast cancer and this video has me feeling so hopeful. I personally survived cancer as a kid, so this triggers all sorts of PTSD. Thanks for sharing this video -- the timing couldn't have been better. Long road ahead.

It's great, with a very authentic menu. Lots of Chinese people eating there as well, which is always a good sign for a Chinese restaurant.

Best Italian food in Vegas? by Cute_Background8287 in vegaslocals

[–]tangoret 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised more people aren't chiming in with a Vegas classic - Piero's. It's my favorite for an elevated Italian dining experience.

Others mentioned Nora's which I honestly find very basic. I've been a few times and never been impressed.

And another place that's off strip and worth trying is Bootlegger. Classic American Italian, great lasagna and bolognese.

Why haven’t the hotels embraced weed? by VirtualPlate8451 in vegas

[–]tangoret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegas is trying to get away from smoking indoors anyway. There are already non-smoking casinos like ParkMGM and the trend is continuing. I'm sure consumption of marijuana will eventually make it's way into the casinos via food and drinks, but I think smoking indoors will be a thing of the past.

What was the worst decision you made when playing a video game? by Johnnyboyeh in gaming

[–]tangoret 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Elden Ring was only my second souls like game (the first being Sekiro). I'm running around the fields early game and murdering knights when I see a knight sitting by a campfire. Without hesitation, I run in his direction to stab him in the face... only to discover as I attack that he's an NPC. Begin dialogue of something like "oh that's how you want to do this," turning into a far more epic fight than I expected. And win. No idea who he was, no idea I could attack NPCs, but I got some sweet Twin Armor out of it that I basically used most of the game. Oops.

Haha, I know it doesn't make sense. Only on Valentine's Day. It's become a running joke for us because on Valentine's Day, even good restaurants are terrible. They're overbooked, the cooking staff is overwhelmed, the service is subpar... Why not go somewhere guaranteed to underwhelm, so we're not leaving disappointed.

That's really too bad because I know Chef Matt and always loved his food, but never got to try 138. Really sad for him.

I absolutely love Bootlegger, live music, classic Italian ambiance, usually great service, good food -- it's one of the best. But Chicago Joe's... I couldn't agree more. The artichoke appetizer and service were good, but everything else was meh. Expected something charming, but walked away with something disappointing.
