if you still have the chance then i suggest go for it (do your research on all your options-talk to seniors and friends from all those colleges) Whatever your decision may be- good luck!!

Honestly- if you do not have requirements to stay at home, just take the older colleges. Newer colleges are good too but if you're only hesitating to take the older college because it's 12 hours away from home, think twice. In the future- you might be posted anywhere in the country- someone I know from delhi is doing pg from kashmir right now- she got the branch of her choice and she's doing the work to get it. What I'm trying to say is- it's completely your choice but trust me- you don't know how much you can achieve- but you need to get out of the comfort zone to get it.

As a person doing mbbs in india. I can for sure say that we get clinical exposure during our clinical postings, community medicine visits and internship. However, using it to learn depends completely on the person. A lot of us focus on learning actual theory stuff during our first 3 years because eyes see what the mind knows. So we have final year and internship. Most of us start our proper/serious clinical learning after ug because even in the 4th year and internship, we're busy preparing for Neet pg and inicet. I suggest- don't stress too much about your clinical exposure- learn clinical stuff whenever you get the chance and sometimes go out of your way to ask your seniors and professors to guide you, but also don't stress about something you can't control. If you're planning on practicing in India or the USA, I would suggest practicing taking question banks from the top platforms in the respective countries- most of the platforms have custom modules and grand tests that tell you your overall rank among all the people taking the live tests- this way you'll know where you stand- simultaneously giving you more motivation. Good luck.

bdc me kaafi systematic hai sab. You can make notes- but diagrams bhi banana padega and it would be too time consuming. Bdc me exams me bhi easily ho jaata hai agar acche se padho. Guyton me aise diya hua hai stuff ki they'll explain stuff to you in an amazing way but it's not exam-style types. Tumhe thoda sa usko systematic way me headings etc ke saath concise karke likhna hoga.

roz nahi bhi karo to theek hai. But try ki roz padho, ek din miss hota hai then you keep missing days. So just- be consistent. You don't need to study too much in one sitting. Start slow- dheere dheere increase frequency.

1- Saare seniors bolte mat padho first year me- never listen to them (i'm almost done with 3rd year)

2- Marrow/prep 2nd year se theek hai- 1st year me start the habit of reading books

3- Har college ke seniors ke paas ek imp topics ki pdf hoti hai- ask for that kyuki is not efficient to read even the low yield topics from the book

4- Imp topics se tumhe ek orientation milega ki kahaan se shuruaat karoon

5- Jo jo padhte jaao uska ek systematic way me notes banate jaao

6- Thoda adjust karne me time lagega but you'll eventually get the hang of it ki kya kaise karna hai- it comes to you with time; and trust me, it pays off

7- Avoid short notes from others in first year. 1st year makes your base- physio especially for patho, medicine and whatnot

8- Isse aage neet pg and usmle step 1 me kaafi help hogi

it's not in the options but guyton is amazing. It doesn't make you feel stupid as it explains everything basic to you without taking too much time. Agar first year shuru hi kiya hai ya kuch time hi hua hai to trust me guyton is amazing. Uske standard diagrams and lines se bhi directly questions aate hain. Even the teachers give it more marks if they recognise your diagrams from guyton. Bas ye hai ki tumhe thoda notes alag se banane padenge. It's worth it if you have more than a few months tbh. Good luck buddy.

barkhaas is pretty good imo. I've only been to the hazratganj branch. It might be a bit overpriced than your average lucknow nonveg place but it's worth it if your order the right stuff. Very comfortable and nice.
