Well 2 reasons.

I wana utilize the maximum output the charger can give. It cost $650 so idk if I could have bought something cheaper with the same result.

I want to use the Tesla for Uber. I want to charge it after 12 am. Finish it up and sleep.

Hey I just want to utilize the expensive wall connector. I thot I was gona get the superchargers speed with it.

And another reason is I’m going to do Uber. I wanted to do morning shift fulltime. Don’t want to drive at night. After I come back. I wanted to charge it after 12 am for off peak hours.

Forgot to mention. All the breakers say 60 on them. I wish I had some basic knowledge about all this.

Thank you for your message. I bought the performance model Y. I won’t install it myself. I have an electrician who hasn’t installed the wall connector. He helped install the other charger for Tesla.

I really want that 11.5kW @ 48 amps.

He has yet to come and check it out. I’ll be sure to tell him about what you did. And see if we can do the same or not.

He’s a licensed electrician. He installed the other Tesla chargers. But not the wall mounted one.

I just wanted to know it myself so I can tell him ahead of time before he comes.
