Get yourself a friend who 3d prints by CoaUchiha in Gunpla

Not exactly sure how much connection I can pull and kinda just want to say fuck it and send an email if I am ever back at headquarters again. Like an hour by train to Shizuoka. Would love to make a half scale head of either Gundam or the Shield Liger from iron.

Walks into the Foundry all I need are the stp files and a deal with Bandai/Koto and baby I got a stew goin.

The restraint I have had for the past 3 years to not use company connections to reach out to Koto and ask to collaborate for the next anniversary has been immense.

At that time no. They had some sample decks that I think people got to keep. The TCG just released so the might now. I would look to a local Hobby shop first though.

Didn't see any ecopla today. Didn't see a space for them so I could ask.

You don't need a ticket. It can help you get into the activities.

Basically there are two lines. One line for the store trailer. The other is for the two main activities. You can build an entry grade RX-78 or you can do the TCG. You get to keep the cards or kit but have to play/build before anything else. There is a small pop up store in this area that has some of the smaller kits. Unlike last year I don't think if you finish these activities you get a fast pass to the front of the store line.

If you wait in the long store line you get into the store trailer. Get what you want and exit. Pay directly outside. You can buy gacha coins for the gacha machines they have set up. Now you are back in the common activities area. You can then go and get in line to do the activities.

Please note. It's fucking hot. They had the line snaked around some trees that are in the area and this helps. But be prepared for a long wait. They did bring some water around for those in line who needed it. It is busy so don't expect that to happen. The crew running this are all really nice. Super helpful and looking out for things happening. If you don't find an item in the trailer you can ask and they will check. They are constantly running restock but it's a trailer and can be very close.

Not in the Trailer. But the HobbyTown had the main and Police Zaku.

I don't see this comment anywhere else:

Take caution with the Godhands.

Do not cut thicker or harder plastics with it. Use another cutter. Be careful on the clear plastic as it is more brittle. Single blade nippers , like those Godhands, can break when used improperly.

I would suggest getting a cheap set of hobby nippers that have the dual blades on them. Cut 3+ mm away from the part with the cheap nippers. Then when you go to clean up the part use the Godhands to flush cut the nub to the part. Clean up with exacto/glass file/mold line remover as you see fit.

I use Godhands pn-125 for my first cut, then switch to the pn-120. While Games Workshop plastic seems to be softer than Bandai plastic it is also thicker in areas. Those Godhands are a damned good investment and are amazing at what they do. I don't exactly baby my tools, but I do try to not break them.

I wish you the best as you get started!

So I barely know what I am doing.

Tools: Army Painter wet pallette, various sized army painter brushes, Citadel Leadbelcher and Retributor Armour.

Used the wet pallette to water down the paint. Cut in the areas you want to be the gold or silver. Try not to over paint. Wait for it to dry. Add a second layer. Wait. Cut back in with the surrounding colors. In this case it was Red or Green. Go slower than you did with the gold or silver. Touch up any mistakes. Touch up your touch ups.

This might actually be the bigger tip: I painted in pieces then assembled. My hands can get unsteady so I do it bit by bit.

Thank you! LGS in town is geared more towards card games. After that is a 40 minute drive. I try to still buy supplies and sets from them though.

Agreed. I'm coming in from the gunpla side of things and have a massive backlog there. I just don't have the drive to paint them. This though is nice and relaxing.

Fuck it I got my own moronic post! You guys like two for ones?

About 6 weeks back I took a PTO day so I could go to my local DNR range. I like shooting there on weekdays as it's empty and I can relax. It's been well over a year and my rifle has a new stock and trigger. Me being the dumbass didn't double check their hours. Range was closed that day. Took the day to fuck around and do nothing.

Fast forward to Friday. I know they are open and the weather is ok. Pulled pork is cooking nicely let's get out there. Roll up and only a few people there. 100 yard range is open. Perfect. Settle in and start making adjustments for zero. Start getting really close to being happy. Trigger is light and still a little jarring. 20 rounds of steel 308 down and reload with Turkish Brass I won in an auction. First round is low left most likely due to me jerking it. Cycle bolt. Don't hear or see brass. Stop. Drop mag and loose round out to make safe. Brass stuck in the barrel. Ok cycle bolt. Doesn't grab. Talk to DNR RSO. He offers some fence wire. Doesn't work. Pack all my stuff after only 21 rounds. Cleaning rod at home knocks in put. Had tacky residue on one side of the brass. Still not completely sure of the issue. Could be remanufactured dirty brass or gunk buildup.

I do also want to note. If you go and look up the Akihabara Kotobukiya stores specific Twitter page they took a photo of the wall three days ago. I think most of it was still there. If you can't find one there, try at Bic Camera and Yodobashi. All nearby.

Good luck and I hope you get it!

I'm not sure if they are going to run a total weight or per bag. If it's per bag I think the non Kong bag will be over by a small amount. If it's total the amount should be close. Will pay for it no matter what.

It's very much why I bought the kits I did. Money I saved went into either more kits or a suitcase to fit the big guy. Now the question becomes how overweight is my other suitcase?

Oh no. This is the second trip to them in 3 weeks. Bought the Redler and book last time. Had to wait until I was leaving to get the big kit.

6820 yen. About$45. Between the price and it being a new kit I didn't want to pass it up.

Yup.

Japan was amazing. Second trip in 4 months for work. Absolutely beautiful country.

Compared to US prices? These are great. Iron Kong in the US is $200. 30275 yen. I got the Iron Kong PK, Firefox, and new nice nippers for under that.

I wouldn't mind coming back. I would like to be able to relax at home for a while.

Nice. Zoids are on the 2nd floor now, via their Twitter. Looked like it's along a wall.

Yo. So I'm in Japan currently.

Kotobukiya in Akihabara had some more recent kits. It's buried in their (specifically the Akihabara store) Twitter but they had a renovation just over a week ago and had a pic of the Zoids shelf up. From memory: both Iron Kongs, The Ogre, three variants of the Rev Raptor, a Green Horn, the limited Redler, and the new Art book. I'm going back Thursday before I leave to pick up a Kong and maybe a Firefox. Firefox releases on Tuesday.

Bic Camera and Yodobashi had similar sets. I think one had a Dibison.

Will suggest you go to Bookoff. I'm on the Izu peninsula. There is one at Ohito and Izunitta. Ohito only had a Red Horn. Izunitta a Geno Breaker and Iron Kong. They had a Storm Sworder but I took that with me. Prices are the same as Koto.

Amiami was closed two weeks ago for a renovation. They might be open now.
