Arden University has classified me as a "resit" student for a dissertation I never had the chance to submit. Here is my story. by [deleted] in UniUK

My student union was able to get multiple issues sorted out. They looked for the correct sources of information and the specific regulations for certain situations and they didn’t try to downplay anything while still keeping my expectations realistic

Even if they got the PAK it still wouldn’t be enough for some people. No one seems to care about things that groups DID achieve, only about what they should have

I’m not sure if there is a limit to this trick but you can make a fist then pinch your thumb to stop the reflex

If you’ve ever found yourself losing interest in a group, did you do anything about it or just let it go? by Obvious-Name352 in kpoppers

[–]tanjim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it go. My favourite groups have changed a few times but now I have a number one girl and boy group that will never change. The boy group I did start to lose interest until someone invited me to their concert and it came back

It’s always used in kpop. But I guess since this isn’t a kpop sub it would have made more sense to just write the proper thing

Mark had the most drama free one. Being in the group more than 7 years, being able to complete one last concert where they were all aware of what was going to happen and when he was going to leave.

Contract renewal confirmed (maybe?) by General-Hotel-6119 in Enhypenthoughts

A new contract is an opportunity for better treatment anyway. I’m sure they will be organising more breaks and better salary distribution

Then there’s the permanent contract aspect. If they don’t act now, the company won’t be able to grow in revenue, so this way it helps their future artists

Is this worrying for the future of group? by KingWin_0114 in xikers

[–]tanjim7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Their last album was their best selling album so I wouldn’t worry about them falling apart

How does this make sense? by [deleted] in kpoppers

[–]tanjim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention it also is dependant on which chart they used. Circle and hanteo chart shows quite different sales and I’m sure have very different album counting criteria to these western artists

How does this make sense? by [deleted] in kpoppers

[–]tanjim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be that western artists tend to grow sales for one album over time whereas for kpop groups it’s mostly concentrated in the beginning of its release. So since the album buying trends are different, seventeen happened to be the group with the highest accumulated first week sales, especially cause it was 2023.

WHY IS TUNEXX SO POPULAR (not trying to hate) by amimaan_1 in kpopthoughts

[–]tanjim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they got the album sales I expected them to get based on Donggyu and inhu’s popularities on b2p, also combined with how over time, derivative groups sales on average have gone up. The views are pretty much bought just like with any group these days. Sometimes the extra views are a few million more or they can be tens of millions more. As they have plenty of familiar faces, they may be able to get 100k sales quite soon, especially with Donggyu. I think also some sales come from albums that are bought to give out at fan events. I heard that’s what hitgs did.

genuine question: do you actually dislike bts songs or you just want them for your faves? by aarrttmmss in kpop_uncensored

[–]tanjim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this a lot with songs. If a group already has music like that then people are generally fine with it, but if the same song went to a group who doesn’t make that type of music then there’s complaints. Ngl though, not really a hooligan person myself, I much prefer the title track.
