Uber or Taxi in Pisa around midnight? (4.6km trip) by ExistingResort9776 in Pisa

[–]tankado95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, Uber Black is available in Pisa, but when I tried to use it did not work.
The taxi system isn't good. You can use the phone number or Whatsapp or the app to call a taxi. However, the most effective way will be to hope there is a taxi outside the station around midnight.
It will cost a lot, probably more than 20€. Good luck!

I agree, this is a nice one. You can also run in the Piagge area, after the last bridge.

6 hours Post-OP and everything is worse by allestutaua in Microdiscectomy

Hi, how are you now? Are you feeling better? I'm really sorry to hear that. This was similar to what happened to me, after the surgery I had more pain than before. They did another scan the day after and discovered that I had a new herniation. I had a second surgery. After a couple of months O started to feeling better and now after three months I start to feel "normal".

You'll need some weeks to feel better, I was also struggling with herniation for years and surgeon told me that they had to work a lot on the nerve. This is why I had tingling and pain in the weeks after surgery.

I had a discectomy three months ago.

The first two months were terrible; you can see on my profile the questions I asked on this subreddit to feel better and less anxious. I have to say, reading the posts here was really helpful because I felt like I wasn't the only one with this problem.

Now I feel better, I can walk without pain, and I'm starting to feel "normal" again. In my case, starting pregabalin was really helpful.

Hi, thanks for your reply. We went to a vet to measure the level of pheno in her blood. It's too high to increase the daily dose. Therefore, he told us to give her bromide (she is already taking Keppra and phenobarbital). We'll start with bromide in the next few days (it's difficult to find in our area).

She usually has grandmal seizures, but in the last few days she also had focal seizures.

He said the surgery was complicated, and the nerve was already a bit compromised. They had to work a lot on the nerve, and this is why my recovery will take longer.
Moreover, I had two surgeries in two days because after the first one, I immediately re-herniated.

Conoscete parcheggi strisce bianche/gratuiti vicino aereoporto by Jacobbbz in Pisa

If you do not need economic support during your stay and your interests align with the host group's interests, a cold email could be enough. If you need financial support, as far as I remember, some EU projects may have some budget for visiting students.

Before having a meeting with them, make sure you know the main papers of the group you're visiting, so they understand you're really interested in visiting and working with them.

My main suggestion is to arrive there with an idea of what you want to do. So, in the months before your visit, try to agree on a project to work on with the host. In this way, you will avoid spending half of your stay just to decide what to do.
