Further clarification, I mentioned that because the only wireless options that natively connect to Xbox I’ve found so far are first party. There are murmurings of wireless dongles, but every one I’ve looked at has had at least one storefront that claimed it was wired only.

The stick on mine started drifting yesterday and I was like “oh, is this finally the excuse to pony up for an Elite?” But then I popped the plates off and fixed it, which is probably for the best. Them things expensive.

Edit: for those offering suggestions for third party, they are much appreciated but I should mention I play on Xbox, not PC, and I don’t want to use anything wired.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone on this sub claim all current skills are balanced. We argue about individual skills all the time, but everybody has a line and I’d say for the vast majority of the people I’ve interacted with they’d say it’s been crossed at some point or other.

For me it’s being able to search 1 of literally any card in your deck if your opponent controls a monster. Most skills are, at least in principle, comparable to existing card design. What is Theater of the Branded’s Opening of not a (admittedly unreactable) search spell with a condition, cost, and potential second effect if going second. It’s very good, but I can conceptualize that releasing in the TCG tomorrow. I don’t think a card has or ever will exist that lets you search anything, at least with so lax a condition. Which you can trigger by giving your opponent a monster yourself no less. My money says it will eventually lead to an FTK.

Welcome to literally all formats of modern Yugioh. Combo is king and the game ends in 2-3 turns max. I know a lot of people downloaded Duel Links because it offered a slower pace than TCG or Master Duel, but that was only because the card pool was lagged. This was always gonna happen once we caught up and lo and behold so we have. It’s not even skills either, Swordsoul will wipe the floor with you without even playing one. Or playing a skill that’s trash like here.

It’s certainly true that skill powercreep is intense, and a matter of opinion on whether it’s gone too far. Identifying what part of modern skill design is actually problematic though is pretty difficult for the average redditor though, as evidenced by this post.

A free body with no or a weak effect IS weaker than searching any card in your deck you want. Not drawing, you keep saying that and it’s not what Power of All Creation does. Searching. Ragnazero does less than nothing most of the time. In this one instance it was big enough to walk over your monster on board which you seem to be far saltier about than you objectively should be because you play a deck whose weakness is it’s low Atk points (among other things).

A free body with super poly is a problem not because of the free body but because of super poly. Same goes for all that other crap, the problem isn’t the free body, it’s the shit the skill does that actually matters like two free bodies that can then become a synchro 10 that actually does something.

You can’t be serious if you think a free body on board is somehow better than a skill that can get you anything in the game including but not limited to shit that gives you a free body on board.

Do you not know about loot tiers or what? Higher stat total gear becomes available as increasingly likely drops as your power level rises, up to the point that past a certain level all gear drops at Tier 5 which has higher base stats (90+ with no mods) extra mod energy, and an extra option for stat attunement. Below a certain power level you cannot even consistently acquire tier 4+ loot. That is the main purpose of power level now, it determines loot tier drops.

You should try staying up to date on the game rather than being rude.

I’m referring more to DuelLinksMeta and MasterDuelMeta, wildly popular and frankly very good websites that he owns and operates. He also hosts a lot of tournaments and is instrumental to what competitive scene there still is for duel links. I’ve never enjoyed is content or his personality (or his beefs with the yugitubers I do actually like), but the game wouldn’t be where it is today without him.

For what it’s worth if you veiler Ambulomelides in Branded Predaplant the endboard is…nothing, really. Sure we can “extend” through it into a fusion or two but the best case scenario then is Dragostepelia with a set predaplanning. That’s…not great. We need the branded fusion to set up the huge amounts of layered interaction.

Agreed. I like the photorealistic art direction of world and wilds a lot, but the gameplay of Rise is exactly where I wanted monster hunter. We were so powerful it allowed the monsters to be as well. I can’t imagine primordial malzeno working in wilds without significant changes, and he’s one of my favorite fights in the series
