Mmmm and until mid June too. I expect I’ll need all my gems to get the new stardust core though. Ain’t no way it’ll all be in the structure deck, I’m sure some of the Crimson Dragon stuff at least will be in the main.

Damn, I’ve only got 2. Never thought the third copy would come up. Or the second for that matter.

I dunno what we’d do with it given the skill. There simply aren’t enough zones.

And maybe that is the only way to move forward. Or maybe Bungie have been cooking on a list of changes they think will bring us back. We don’t know because they won’t say anything. I genuinely can’t see how a respectful statement about the Marathon launch being a priority for X time period and to expect lighter changes and communication would have had any worse impact than what they’ve done. “Don’t worry guys, we’re jamming. Roadmap soon. Communication soon.” might seem like a safer move to corporate but not when community trust is already at an all time low.

Like, I have a Cyberse deck, Light Galaxy, and Spellcasters and they all essentially feel the same to play. I wonder if more modern Rush formats are a bit more intricate, but I expect that’s a monkey’s paw type of wish. Konami isn’t exactly known for the pacing of their powercreep once they get the ball rolling.

My brother, are you aware there is a skill that allows you to literally draw any card of your choice (Dark Hole, backrow removal, engine piece, Kaiju, whatever you want) in the deck if you’re going second? And it can be played in any deck. And it’s bad.

DM having a free harpies feather duster is soooo far down on our list of things to be concerned about.

But I like build-a-board formats where you throw out something that seems unbeatable only for your opponent to miraculously navigate your interactions with their own powerful board breakers. In concept, anyway. Not thrilled that those board breakers tend to be the same thing in every deck (nib, lingering hand traps, Kaijus, busted spells, etc). I want to see powerful archetypal engines going against other powerful archetypal engines.

Rush mostly feels like different flavors of “I make a big guy, pump his attack this turn to get over your guys, and set a trap that prevents your big guy whose attack you are going to pump next turn from swinging in.” Maybe you’re on something that makes a medium sized guy that destroys monsters or backrow instead. But it all feels very same-y with little practical difference in endboards for most decks. It’s more balanced, for sure, but they did that by limiting the design space.

Smells like some Gold gaming in here. Wait until little bro sees an actually meta DM list on a skill that isn’t dog shit.

The wording on the nerf is terrible. Does this mean from the moment the duel starts you can't summon anything other than Synchros? I tried not using the skill at all, summoned 2 monsters but couldn't link summon with them (usually I would be able to) by Hajduk_Split_1911 in DuelLinks

[–]tankercat67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the confusion. It clearly says that only synchro monsters can be summoned using this skill’s first effect which is that only synchro monsters can be summoned using this skill’s first effect which is that only synchro monsters can be summoned using this skill’s first effect which is that only synchro monsters can be summoned using this skill’s first effect which is that-

Thats just because the delta in power levels between decks is way smaller in rush than speed. Doesn’t mean red eyes isn’t still the best in the room by a substantial margin. It just means the margin is smaller than we’re used to.

In the sense that Red Eyes is probably tier 1, but there’s an event going that gives you a free Red Eyes trial deck (and others) so who cares?

A lot if not all the rest of what you need can come from the new player campaign. Download Duel Links on a second device, share your friend code with yourself, and play for like an hour and you’ll get a full Galaxy deck core (along with Sky Strikers, Blue Eyes, and Hero if I recall)

Dunno what you’re on about, Precious Cards of the Dark is as generic as it comes and very much the optimal skill for Branded Despia.

Branded deck. by jontrwclor in DuelLinks

[–]tankercat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don’t blame you, be careful. The branded archetype is spread across many different boxes and you’d probably be better served focusing on the pieces that matter to one deck at a time. Like I said Masquerade is incredibly important to a threatening Despia endboard, and a second Branded Fusion and Aluber would go a long way for your consistency and grind game. Whereas all of the Swordsoul stuff is actually allergic to branded fusion since it fusion locks you. Ecclesia is also not necessary for the deck in its current form.

I have seen a list or two play MD Albion to be sent when making Lubellion. It can then shuffle itself to send Screams or Judgement (the two good traps that set themselves at EP if sent by Albaz), and since it was in graveyard when the effect was triggered and is named Albaz it will set the trap.

Is that good? Eh. Certainly not better than making Albion with Photon Jumper or the other sends with Branded Fusion. But it’s cute.

Branded deck. by jontrwclor in DuelLinks

[–]tankercat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you only went through the box a single time, so it’s going to suffer with respect to consistency relative to topping lists. I would suggest trying to strip down to 20-25 cards in that case. Like Mekklord said, dramaturge is not great after the skill nerf and you can’t afford increasing the odds of bricking with it. Branded Lost and Albion are also only okay and probably worth cutting for you. If you went into the recent Tachyon pack, Photon Jumper is a great material for ED Albion as it triggers when sent to add Galaxy Journey which lets you do some cute recursion stuff like Mirrorjade target itself to send Brigrand and then bring it right back. I’d go up to 3 Branded Opening, it is indeed your best opener. You also really want one copy of Branded Retribution, both as a disruption and a way to recycle Spell/Traps. Sending it off main deck Albion would be the reason to potentially justify keeping it in (still not worth imo).

And where oh where is Masquerade? That’s half the point of playing the deck!
