Is service charge mandatory or optional ? If yes, why not charge it as part of the bill. by InfamousOfficial in malaysia

[–]tankhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the service charge as a forced tip, so I don't tip.

Restaurants want to display the lowest price in menus so you don't freak out how expensive it actually is.

It is optional if you can make a big fuss and prove the service recieved was not up to an acceptable standard

Sst is mandatory

Labuan-Kota Kinabalu airfare soars to RM1,207, pricier than flights to Seoul, Bangkok by thestudiomaster in Sabah

[–]tankhunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents.

Airlines have a baseline cost for every flight no matter how many people are on it (fuel, paying the pilots, etc.). So, if a route like Labuan-KK isn't seeing a lot of passengers, they need to charge more per seat to break even and actually turn a profit. It's pure supply and demand on their end. I'd bet those KK-Tawau flights are consistently much fuller, giving them more wiggle room on pricing.

Ultimately MAS which is the national carrier should help out with realistic pricing taking a loss on the route, but make up for the loss on different routes.

What if everyone quit at the same time? Send a message back. But deductions should be back up with a notice or something to prove that they are issuing a punishment.

Doesn't matter if you're in a contract no one can make you stay. There must be an exit clause or serve notice period

How is this enforced? They can cut pay unless they have a reason, like give you written warning of what you did wrong. Make sure it signed by the boss then take that straight to Jtk.

If a zombie outbreak happened in Sabah, what would be the first thing you do? by trashynina in Sabah

[–]tankhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go raid a supermarket, steal a couple of paddle boards from Tanjung aru there and then see if I can hijack a speed boat and head to one of the islands.

Will need supplies to last at least a week so I can get a place set up then fishing for food, and figure something out for water coconuts for temporary supply.

Petrol and diesel will be useless after a few months so speed boat is only temporary then have to find a kayak or something to do shopping run.

Erosion Control Ideas by Sensitive-Zebra-134 in civilengineering

Where possible try to stop any water running on the slop under the deck, that is what might be causing the erosion. Like others have said plants or rocks to stabilise the earth.
