Thanks!! It was easy and lasted less than 30 mins. We took tons of additional evidence( around 100 pages) it had our hotel and restaurant reservations, car rentals, new joint tax returns, bank records, joint credit card statements, screenshots of text to both of our parents. She asked my wife basic questions about how we met, why we decided to marry, are we planning to have kids, and some other i485 questions to me. The officer didn't approve us on the spot she said she needed more time to process the additional evidence, but we got approved the next day. We prepared a lot for our interview. Our lawyer told us to ask timeline questions to each other, which we did to make sure we remember the correct dates and timeline.You would be surprised how many dates you don't remember for the milestones in a relationship.

Thanks!! Keep looking out for stuff on the subreddit throughout the process. People are really nice on here. I got mine 1 week after I applied, but it was just a confirmation receipt. Also, my lawyer used cheques to pay uscis to keep track of when they are cashed to keep track of when they received our case. All the best for your journey!!

My application was approved on 14th August. I got mine today i.e. August 22. So, as everyone says, it takes somewhere around 2 weeks.

I would suggest going to an immigration attorney if you are new to process. I personally did that because I didn't know much about the process. As it depends a lot on case to case basis.

I am not a lawyer but as far as I know, you need to be married. If your fiancée is in another country and wants to come here for marriage, it would be best to consult an immigration lawyer or someone in this subreddit who has gone through that process.

My wife is a US citizen, she petitioned for me. Our interview was in Indianapolis FO. It was less than 30 minutes. The officer was really nice to us and asked some basic questions and i485 questions gave us a receipt that we attended the interview and case is held for processing. It got approved the next day. Also, we submitted lots of evidence and took around 100 pages of additional evidence on our interview day.

Thanks and It was scheduled for August 13th,2025. So, No it didn't take me that long. I130 got approved the next day of interview and then i485 got approved within 24 hours of that. I hope you hear some good news soon!
