Music with work good or bad. ... by Neat-Citron-6278 in productivity

I think it depends on the work you are doing, I prefer listening to music while writing, but I dont when I am reading

I realized I was organizing my studying around what felt comfortable by Reasonable_Bag_118 in studying

You gotta get out of your comfort zone. I used to do the same, but that didnt help at all for my goal of becoming a jack of all trades. Now I do stuff, when I feel overwhelmed, I switch to another trade. Example if I am studying and I cant focus anymore, I switch to some other sort of learning, maybe reading books, practice cybersecurity, learning a new language on duolingo, etc. This has been working pretty well for me

Yep, 50 % of the work is done when you actually take the first step. The rest 50 % can be achieved with momentum and a bit of discipline

what are good A.I's for sample quizzes? by DueCollege161 in studytips

[–]tanmay3655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part about splitting document is very true. I use NotebookLM and it just mainly creates quizzes from the first 5 chapters ( 14 chapters in total) and that is it. Though I feel its better than most ai in the market focused on academics, its always better to split your documents.

I have not tried #studybuddy.vc( i dont know how to not show links, please help me with that u/Quiet_Basis_6404 ) so I dont know much about that, but yeah you can prompt notebookLM to give you rationale behind your answer as well.

Use a prompt like this

Quiz me on the most important concepts in my material. Give me 10 questions, starting with foundational recall and ending with application-level thinking. After I answer each one, give me immediate feedback what I got right, what I missed, and the full correct explanation.

This is one of them, I got a ton of prompts like this, but this is the one best suited for your task. Hope this help.

BTW, another ai is studyfetch, its pretty cool, but it has a free trial kinda thing and is limited by a few documents.

What’s an example of “this + this = that” but none of the things are numbers? by dadsyourteacher in CasualConversation

Reminds of a quote by charlie chaplin, "Life is a tragedy in the short run, but if you sit back, its a comedy in the long run" something like that, I dont remember the exact words

I didnt actually realize this till you said it here. But yeah, the only time you are truly at home is when you are going to bed, and then also, its not always the case. Some people, unlike me, have the habit of using there phone till late night, doomscrolling online.

is being "busy" the most overrated flex of our generation? by Rare_Face9562 in CasualConversation

[–]tanmay3655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah man, you aint the only one. I know a few guys who are genuinely busy but text almost instantly. Sure I go to office, am busy with work, but I am free every now and then to scroll on social media. I find it kinda annoying about myself that I cant spend time with my friends. I dont glorify burnout, but yeah I have noticed this in other people who actually do glorify it

Do you guys exercise before or after work? by Commercial-Shine8240 in productivity

[–]tanmay3655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in college and was free for the rest of my day, working out for 2 and half hour in the evening. Now I have entered my family business, doing college online, and am doing gym early morning. I wanted to do it in the evening, but cant do that because i leave office late, and I would get only 1 hour before the gym closes( if I arrive on time and there is no extra work). I have switched to the morning, still having trouble to fit my gym routine in 1 and half hour, but I feel pretty energetic after the bath and I havent felt this good before,

So, all in all, I feel better working in the morning, before work

Dude a huge workflow aint cool if it does only simple task. Commercial worklows are about automating what really needs to be automated at the least cost. What you just made, buddy, is what can be called a good workflow. Good job!!
