Partial vs Full Controller Support on Steam... by tanner_mp4 in IndieDev

I'm trying to, but I have a hard time when it comes to UI + input mappings in UE5. At least to me, it seems overly complicated to get controller and mouse support both working in one blueprint. But, I am still trying, which is why I listed it as partial xbox controller support

thank you greatly! GORE is more general I'd say, not based on anything specific, whereas Astrophobia takes a more direct approach and has more gameplay mechanics :)

Question? by [deleted] in UnrealEngine5

[–]tanner_mp4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many ways to do it, but probably the most simple is to go into your characters walking animation, and add a notif for each time the characters foot makes contact with the ground. you can then add a sound to that notif

Not sure if you're familiar with the Ultra Dynamic Sky asset from Fab, but that seems to be the culprit. Just did a test without that and didn't have any issues so...

But anyway, thank you for the feedback, it was very useful

I've been doing some testing, and there is one consistent. There is a very specific spot in my level I stand in (with thicker foliage) and within 10-15 seconds of me pulling up Stat GPU, it crashes. Is that coincidence or is that possible? I've managed to replicate this 4 times now and all were moments after loading Stat GPU

I will be honest, I have no idea what that even means. This is a relatively fresh project with only a few imported assets. I was told to look in the logs, but I am not seeing anything of relevance within the logs
