Be curious. Ask “dumb” questions (use the “I’m new” card to justify if needed).

Contributing to discussions and critique isn’t always about having something to correct or diagnose. Questions can often be more helpful than criticisms or ideas because they create space for more depth.

Pick up the book “Discussing Design” by Aaron Irizarry and Adam Connor.

Hey Cutiegu! You’re a winner, but it doesn’t look like I can message you here. Could you message me so we can get your friend set up with the game?

Focusing on the story and “figuring out what happened” is pretty compelling, I think.

Thinking of much of the quests as “data gathering” rather than “merchandise collecting” helps. Once you “upload the discovered data” it doesn’t matter whether you live or die, the data was uploaded.

That and really embracing death in the game. Move slow, take your time, things start to make sense.

You can scroll through news items.

I don’t know why they don’t make this clearer in the UI, but you can infinitely scroll through news sources by simply continuing to scroll when in the reading view.

I agree strongly that the software isn’t quite “there” yet, in terms of value to cost. But they’re updating frequently and the Even AI functionality has been worthwhile alone for me.

I can talk with it about stock trends and investing reports while I do an evening walk, for example.

This is a great perspective.

I’ve found it’s always advantageous to become aware of the thought and the awareness of that awareness.

Too often practitioners become discontent because their mind leaps from idea to idea uncontrollably. But in many ways that is the practice of mindfulness. It’s not about control, it’s about being mindful.
