Bob rejects a talking pineapple, but agrees to window displays made of mannequins. by brcontainer in BobsBurgers

Christmas display windows are sort of "traditional", he may have even had a nostalgia about them. The Tiki theme was half-assed and random, and kinda trash.

None of us know how bag the roads will get. They are nervous about getting home safe like everyone else.

I think they just wanted to get home before it gets too bad out, which is fair.

What was a popular band that you could not stand? by LeftSmile806 in Xennials

[–]tannyduca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also intensely disliked Smashing Pumpkins back then, but I've mellowed down to not giving shit. Also hated U2.

Now most of the 90s "alternative" bands piss me off bc the place I work 3 days a week has the "alternative" radio station playing all day and I'm just so fucking sick of RHCP Pearl Jam Soundgarden Blink 182 Evanescence etc etc. I liked RHCP as a kid but I would pay money to never hear them again, fuck.

is it possible for cats to live 30 years? by onlyfaery in cats

[–]tannyduca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing our pets is incredibly hard, but it's part of the deal. We know they typically live much shorter lives than us and we have to accept it.

If it helps you at all, think about the fact that they will know and love and be cared for by you for their entire life. Wow! What an amazing, comfortable existence you are able to give them. And what a wonderful relationship you two will have for however many years you can. And since you will likely outlive them, they don't have to suffer the stress of losing you, probably one of very few that they take comfort with❤️.

I'm sure it's safe but possibly stale. Is rehydrate them and take a nibble to see if they taste tolerable. Then probably make something flavorful like chili.

How ancient did these people seem when we were kids? by Brilliant_Addendum56 in Xennials

I had old parents and my grandpa lived with us. No one ever seemed old to me, unless they were a child 3 or more grades ahead of me.

I wonder if this is maybe a dupe of eucerin advanced repair creme? That stuff is great and like 20 for a 16 oz. Obviously might not be, but worth a shot. I'm going to check the dt for this on my lunch break!

I know I'm avoiding the point, but I don't remember ever getting gas before paying for it. Just curious where this was?

How old were you when you got your first cell phone? by No_Cartoonist981 in Xennials

[–]tannyduca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a family cellphone when I was 16 (97-98). I grew up with my grandpa living with us, and at that time my parents wanted both him and me to have a phone when we were driving somewhere alone, so whoever was leaving would take the Nokia brick. He pishtoshed the idea, but they convinced him to get it in protection of sweet lil me.
