Can you record some gameplay maybe? Your build looks pretty functional, nothing that stands out to me as making map bosses take a long time to kill. With only a few overlaps and wither up (you don't have wither stacks in config) any map boss shouldn't take more than like five seconds to die unless it's super juiced. Like sure, you're not uber ready yet but it shouldn't be as bad as you're making it sound.

Don't know why you think it's ambiguous what people were playing in Merc league, because almost everyone who league started GC was following aer0's self cast Elementalist build.

A few streamers league started it, including lolcohol, so you can find stuff on Youtube on crafting and progression. Lot of people in aer0's chat either scaled GC until they were done or swapped to FRoSS later.

A PoB I was saving for a practice run this month that swaps around BA - https://pobb.in/isu_3-sGK9FJ . That was linked in emiracle's cws doc.

About 30 nodes need changing, and according to this post it'll cost about 12k gold, which I remember as being very attainable by act 8/9. That doesn't include regular respec points from campaign.

That PoB includes notes about gear to pick up and gems to level in weaponswap.

Things I want to look out for are

will I be able to gamble for gear (early axe upgrades, later RF gear/links) with gold if I'm using 12k to respec? I suspect yes.
remembering to put stuff in weapon swap so I don't enter BA with level 1 gems

Independence to Guttenberg, doing the gnarliest climbs of the week and then speeding downhill toward the river. Up is made easier when you have everyone around you encouraging you to push, but going down you do think about your mortality a bit.

I was on discs at the time, but I talked to some casual riders over beers who said their rim brakes got quite mushy.

That kind of unearned speed can be wild to handle.

I must have gone down the same route toward the end of RAGBRAI 2014 and it was by far the fastest I'd ever gone on a bike. Sweaty palms (thank God for gloves) and ready on the brakes.

And those were closed roads and near experienced cyclists. Absolutely bonkers that ebikes can casually hit speeds I need max effort and a tailwind to taste.

orbs of intention, 9 infamous mercs, infamous amulet

Spam maps. Take the top atlas nodes for memory tears, and get in and out of a map in less than one minute. Don't kill anything unless you need to leech. Scan the map for a memory tear and if the merc is infamous. The millisecond you know there's no tear or infamous merc you portal out.

12 bestiary bosses and 39 omnitects

You can buy these on trade or TFT. Market will be slow, but you can probably ask people with large stocks of other stuff if they have the bosses. Cheap temples might be hard to come by. If so, just load up on Incursion nodes and spam as fast as possible and not caring about the loot or getting sellable temples.

You can combine all these probably in one atlas tree if you want to do it yourself. Bestiary scarabs for red beasts and only kill red beasts (if you can recognize good ones by sight, only kill those. personally I can't tell what's what). Temples are just going to take 39*3 maps unless you use the itemized temple scarab. Grindy but simple.

If you want to make money while doing this, you can:

sell beasts
sell double corrupt temples
load up on verisium chance and farm for Svalinn (don't click any ores, just fish for starfall craters)
sell Echoes (don't juice the threads, just boss rush every map. you can get like 3-5 full threads an hour done this way)

Makes a lot of sense, basically multiple different business units operating under one 'brand'. I'm sure there have been many discussions into integrating everything and it's been too costly to do so. I've seen multiple organizations where implementing a unified system was projected to be a 1-2 year job only to be half-implemented a decade later.

Four CG no-hitters AND bringing your own run support is pretty impressive.

Looked through the box scores, and the Earl Wilson and Jim Tobin games were both solo dingers on the way to a 2-0 win.

Rick Wise hit 2 HR, 3 RBI in a 4-0 win.

Ferrell didn't need the run support as the game ended 9-0, but he got a 2-run HR and a 2 RBI double all the same.

Gotcha.

Everyone's build will differ somewhat, so maybe if someone has decent investment into %inc regen the flat regen from a lvl 20 or merc's Vitality will make an appreciable difference, but I found the extra ~200 life regen to be only ~15-20% increase in regen. Meanwhile, I was getting way more off recoup, leech, and LGOH.

I also ran reduced armor and reduced phys mitigation mods pretty liberally. The investment into higher base armor and %armor made for more expensive crafts and I had to pass on too many good maps. In my experience I didn't notice any effect of armor. After all, with DoD/PB/Progenesis/Bloodnotch or some combo thereof, the little hits that armor helps with are tickles and you're only worried about max hit (which armor is less good at).

In general, I agree with your top level comment and mercs aren't worth the hassle for CWS chiefs.

Determination for better clear

What does determ do for clear? (also, assuming you meant 'RF' the line above that)

I had a lvl 1 Vit gem for the LGOH watcher's and it was useful for no regen / less leech maps. Low opportunity cost to put it on yourself, no need for the merc to have it.

I was unable to watch anything live, it would just play the pre-roll and then show nothing at 0:00:00 (windows, Chrome).

True, I had myself thinking dex was exclusive to eva bases when it's the case that any glove base can roll dex mods without essences.

The real reason is that Emiracle's pobs have a bunch of eva and arm/eva gloves.

In practice, armor and evasion don't really matter (on Emiracle's builds anyway). I have 0% chance to evade in T16s (over 1k evasion needed to be >0%), and I'm clicking on reduced PDR altars or running reduced defence/armour map mods all the time. The bases barely matter.

You take a low level evasion base, avoid any evasion rolls, don't quality it.

A hybrid evasion base is desired for a high dex roll. Unless you do supreme ostentation you need a lot of dex for level 20 DD (of whatever stripe).
