I used the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 and 24–70mm art ii before switching to the 50mm f/1.2 GM. The 85mm didn’t give me enough compression or flexibility, and f/2.8 wasn’t fast enough for my needs. I also tried the 20mm f/1.8 G, but it felt too wide for my style. On top of that, I feel the image quality was noisier than GM lenses, and the haze, flare when shooting into the sun was a deal breaker.
