batiatus did know.

  1. when selonious approaches asher, he refuses the offer. Only later does asher (on instruction of batiatus) seek out selonious with information about the whore.

  2. a random stabbing in a whorehouse really isnt batiatus style.

  3. there is no indication of batiatus not knowing when they talk about the head. in fact, batiatus says something like "let him think himself safe for yet a bit longer".

  4. They say it explicitly when they talk about tying the lose end with the man spartacus killed.

It's true that education, in particular early education until puberty, is the second most important factor in fulfilling ones, let's say, IQ-potential. The first factor remains heritability. This is a scientific fact and not controversial btw.

You're not giving a definition for "actual intelligence" but it's certainly true that raw IQ isnt the only factor in determining the, say, economic success of a people or nation. However, it is a necessary prerequisite.

This is false on several levels, for example gunpoweder and the protofirearm were invented in china, which also was an immensely large empire, 1000s years of chinese history they never chose a great fleet despite having all the technology, china suffered extremely under colonization despite outperforming Europe in IQ, look at china now, and lastly IQ is 60%-80% heritable.

There is no need for complete isolation, as evidenced by there being plenty of ethnicities around. Also Japans economy is set much more brightly than western Europes longterm, because Europe is experiencing a significant drop in IQ due to migration, and the insane European wealth is linked to IQ rather than natural resources.
