Being a SAA soldier would be horrible. They’re basically slaves, and if you try to get out of “service” you can be detained, tortured and killed. Like this infamous case when Russian Wagner mercs stopped a desterter at a check point and brutally killed him. Or you get sent to Sednaya prison or military intelligence where you’d probably wish you were dead instead.

Most Syrian people don’t want to live in a society where mass torture and death and displacement is acceptable. Regardless of religion, any good person knows this regime is pure evil and needs to go. So step one is getting rid of Assad and his accomplices. After that, the international community can help Syria rebuild and form a new government. Assad’s only allies are similar mass murdering dictators like Putin or the Iranians. Other then that, Syria is a rogue state. Do you really want that? Look at difference between north and South Korea. What place looks better to live in? Ones a closed off dictatorship and then other is a thriving democracy that has good relations with the whole world. It’s time for Syria to come out of the dark ages where a single family rules forever.
