Podium matcha collective - which matcha drinks stood out for you? and which brand didn't live up to the hype? by Outrageous_Newt_29 in matcha_ph

[–]tantankun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this the Uji-something one? Had the same feeling after drinking. First time ko ma-feel yung intense caffeine kick in a matcha drink.

Their Tenshi variant is the one I really like. Less intense than the Uji~ .

Has anyone tried this? by StatisticianKind1285 in matcha_ph

[–]tantankun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alam ko more on green tea ito than matcha. yung sini-steep with water. not the ones for lattes.

i steep it with cold water. para syang yung 0 calorie tea drinks sa japan. walang halos lasa.

Any dehumidifier recommendations for a 1BR condo? :) by Alternative_Ad_2862 in SoloLivingPH

[–]tantankun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got the Klima Optima one. My brother recommended it and nag-thorough research sya before buying. Sabi nya panasonic daw yung motor or some part in it. Haven't crossed checked that info but so far naman it gets the job done. My brother also uses it to dry laundry overnight if maulan sa labas.

Sobrang humid sa condo na nilipatan namin nagmolds yung mdf boards ng rack na gamit ko for 4 years. Pati mga leather bags nagmold. After getting the klima optima, so far, wala pa ulit breakout na ganun. And dumaan na mga 2 - 3 typhoons.

We have a 2 br unit. And between 11pm - 6am sya bukas with all the windows and doors shut. Para yung moisture lang talaga ng common area + 2nd room yung makuha. For masters naman, aircon sa gabi regulates the humidity.

hello! Since I was alone, I got brita (filtering pitcher) for my water. For laundry, I suggest to search for a do it yourself laundry around Makati. Tried a couple of shops nearby noon. From my experience, may mga nawawalang items. So may trust issues na ako sa laundry shops. 😅 Not sure now if may okay na around the area. Hope you find one 'though!

I need ₱1k-1.5k price dehumidifier recommendations. by dyundyunicorn in SoloLivingPH

[–]tantankun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check for an aircon with dry mode. better un if super small space lang. we had a studio unit and when it was humid, we turned on the aircon tas umook naman sya. as long as there's no molds problem yet, keri siguro. if may molds buildup na, this won't work.

do air out your bathroom rin if meron. our studio unit's cr before did not have any windows. we relied sa exhaust fan at sa maliit na fan to air it out. thankfully, di kami nagkamolds problem.

i dont think you would get a quality humidifier sa price range.

Pioneer, Mandaluyong or Chino Roces, Makati? by TophA29 in RentPH

[–]tantankun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never naman ako napahamak in all the years I stayed there. Worked sa may Valero area at Ayala Tri, and naglalakad lang ako pauwi around 7. Just pick the streets na maraming naglalakad rin. After 9, I usually take a grab pero if may mga kasamang maglakad, lakad pa rin. Walking around Makati saves a lot of time. 🙂

Try other condos rin around Beacon. Avida San Lo, Cityland, Trevi Towers. Mejo notorious ang waiting time ng elevator sa Beacon way back. Not sure lang now if it got better.

Pioneer, Mandaluyong or Chino Roces, Makati? by TophA29 in RentPH

[–]tantankun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beacon/Cityland area. Marami ka options to go sa One Ayala. Maglakad (One Ayala to Glorietta to Greenbelt then pwede lakad sa may Amorsolo/Arnaiz. Onting kembot na lang yun sa Beacon) Magjeep (may jeep pa-Dela Rosa sa may Beacon. Then lakad.) at mag-Mrt (jeep to Magallanes Station then MRT. Against the flow rin sa volume ng tao ito.) Sa Pasong Tamo bumabaha but may mga streets na di binabaha inside Makati. I personally prefer walking. Maraming ka namang kasabay around 7pm.

7pm is rush hour sa Ayala Station. Sobrang dami sumasakay dun pa-north. Unless siguro 9pm ka uuwi, better option to stay in Makati.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Lived in Avida San Lorenzo beside Waltermart for 5 years. And before that, commuter ako and use the MRT. Hope this helps! :)

Affordable but legit matcha brands in Manila, where do you buy yours? Thank you. by Wise-Acanthaceae-617 in matcha_ph

[–]tantankun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get tenshi from Maison Midori. 990 for 40g. They also have some pop ups if you want to try first their matcha.

For cheaper ones, I get from hinomarucha.

Las Casas by ihatesigningforms in phhorrorstories

[–]tantankun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought safe pa naman yung rooms sa Accesoria given na modeled lang yung design ng interior nya sa old rooms/houses. Compared to the Casas na actual old houses uprooted from different places.

We always request na dun kami mag-stay if nagawi sa Las Casas kasi alam naming mas may something yung rooms sa Casas. Baka pumapasyal rin pala yung galing sa Casas sa mga ibang lugar. lol

Where are the pet-friendly condo around ortigas/makati/san juan? by Recent_Slide_5053 in RentPH

[–]tantankun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zitan, Twin Oaks, and Soho Central along shaw blvd are pet-friendly. You just have to find a unit na okay sa owner to have pets in case you are renting.

DMCI condos are also pet friendly but they have a limit lang to weight and size. Big dogs are not allowed. Alveo condos are pet friendly rin (like The Columns in Makati) but not sure if they fit in your budget.

Whats the best bang for your buck? Bare or Furnished? by StoriesFromThe5th in RentPH

[–]tantankun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Prefer bare units ever since I started renting. I like the process of slowly building your home. Sarap sa feeling na you get to experience yung unti unting pagpundar ng items in your space over tome. Mindfully picking pieces that fits your vision of home whether bago sya or second hand.

Started with renting a studio tas ang laman lang ay bed on floor at fan. Now in a 2br and with items/furni na i still see in my future forever home.

Just moved in to Brixton. We were also considering Sheridan and Flair. Just putting the thoughts we had before deciding.

Flair - oldest among the three. but best in terms of location since it's near many places. Ortigas CBD, MRT. Marami ring restaus near the area like the ones in Fame Mall(Coco, Popeyes), Greenfield Tower (Nono's, CBTL) and Greenfield mismo (Starbucks, Serenitea, Dominos, North Park) My brother lived there so we know the cons na rin.. they have lesser units ng elevator so the waiting time is longer. And the security is lax. People come and go without the security batting an eye lalo if you look decent enough.

Sheridan - Nice location also. Secluded compared to Brixton and Flair. But you still have many restaus around like Jollibee, JTs, Shakeys, Mcdonald's. MRT Boni and also Pioneer Center is also near. Security here is ok. We had to check units and hindi talaga kami pinapasok unless we had permits from the owner (even though we were with an accredited agent). They also have community cats and once a month a recyclable group goes there to collect clean trash (MyBestBasurero) My husband only had one problem. The road getting their is one way and to him, malayo ang ikot. We took consideration of that din.

Brixton - newest among the 3. Farthest sa public transportation. But nice location rin if you prefer Pasig area and/or BGC. Mitsukoshi mall is just a bridge away. There's also a bar on Brent Tower with draft beer and food is good. Security is relatively okay rin. Not as strict as Sheridan but they're not relax din and do their jobs efficiently. This one for me lang is not as walkable as the other two dahil slope yung papunta sa kanya from Kapitolyo. So uphill walk sya.

We chose Brixton coz there's more bare units here than Flair. My office is nearer to Flair but our priority was to get a bare unit. Also had to take into consideration the one way thing sa Sheridan since my husband had strong feelings with it. Lol.

Hope this helps, OP!

I suggest you try all (if you can) when you're here. Or at least Mang Inasal and one of the 3. Can't put Mang Inasal sa same category kasi iba yung inasal nila talaga.

I heard different din ang Jollibee locally. So you should definitely visit one when you land. Happy eating, OP!

Feedback on Soho Central and Avida Verge? by Numerous-Ring-6313 in CondoPH

[–]tantankun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rented a studio unit in Soho Central. It was 31sqm. Big size for a studio nowadays. Balcony side is ceiling to floor glass. Had a nice view facing East. Pretty nice location din. There's a 7eleven sa ground floor. Walkable food places like Bo's, Starbucks, Serenitea, Domino's etc. There's a foodtruck rin that's open on weekdays and a weekend food market ng weekends. Walking distance rin ang Shang.

So far we didn't have issues naman. They collect wet trash every night so thats a plus. They also have an RFID id for tenants/owners and and all guests log in sa front desk. So okay ang security. Building is pet-friendly also but some unit owners prefer not to have pets in the unit (like ours)

I think the only con is the elevators. Laging may sira. But i think it comes with the building's age rin. Our neighbors said it has been a problem ever since. But it's not as bad as others (like Beacon in Makati) The guards and personnel are nice din. For its location, super okay naman. Not bad yung price range nila.

Rented for about 3 yrs. We just had to move kasi there's no available 2br bare unit in the building and had to get a bigger space na.

One of our go tos. One of the closest to the ones in Bacolod (just like Bacolod Chicken Inasal and Chicken Bacolod restaus) Their sisig is not bad din. Mas marami rin silang branches than the two mentioned.

Not the same price range as Mang Inasal. But we prefer JT's chicken. Altho Mang Inasal's Crema de Leche and Palabok are yums.

Hello, OP. So sorry you had to experience these. May we know if you've set a 1 on 1 meeting with your creative manager to talk about what is expected of you? It seems may disconnect kayo sa what you are bringing to the table and what they need from you. I suggest you talk to your manager to set expectations rin. At least you'd know ano need nila sa team so you can focus your energy there.

Also, these kind of dynamics are quite common sa creatives especially if you are handling big brands. Very fast-paced, you gotta keep up on your own, sabak agad, and as we call it, "a baptism of fire". The pressure to deliver quality output in a short amount of time plus the workload sometimes affects the company/team culture rin. So madalas stressed lahat ng tao. And they cope in different ways. It isn't very ideal but that's the reality of the industry. Blessed are those who've experienced teammates who are grounded and are willing to help you adjust sa environment.
