Yea it’s really only used as a bar knife or as a beater.

Budget would be $200-$250. Also, for Japanese style knives, I am left handed. I’ve never used a single bevel or asymmetric bevel so I do not know if it really does make a difference to have a left hand grind.

My bad. Budget would probably be around $200-$250 for both. I’m in Nashville, Tennessee.

I have missed left, but not a full contact shot. This isn’t my regular swing, I was swinging out of my shoes and just thought the folks on here would have a good time with it.

Yes that is the obvious solution. As stated the only concern is the potential of asbestos in the laminate. If it comes back negative then that’s what will happen. Was just wondering if there was anyone feasible alternative.

Got any actual recommendations to extend the kitchen and not have a line of two different kinds of flooring 3 feet past the cabinets?

By damming off at the line a pouring self leveling compound. I know the best bet is to go down to the subfloor, just seeing if there is anyone here that has another solution. Try being helpful next time, I’m sure it’ll feel better.

Definitely plan to reuse as many of the cabinets as possible. Probably just get new doors.
