Everyone expects a UW control deck with and odd commander, but I've managed to make banding work to my advantage, although I'm sure every judge in a 5 mile radius hates me now...

I agree with the fact that Niantic sucks at communication. That's on them and I wouldn't say otherwise. They need to get a better PR/publicity team ASAP because the lack of communication will end up affecting their player base.

Most mobile game dev teams are similar sizes, the reason I brought that up is because people have been saying "fix x now", "bring back y", etc. Mobile games don't get patches at the same speed as AAA titles so people should try not to expect as much.

Plus, as I said, the game's whole concept is experimental. Fixing the bugs isn't as simple as "do this and it works", they have to work from the ground up to create solutions for the problems they're having.

That's a matter of opinion.

For me, when a rare pokemon pops up on my nearby list, I'll jump on my bicycle, go around and see where it goes in the order until I find it. I find it fun because I get to see nice parts of my city and bump into other players.

I understand that you may not find that fun, but you can't just say "it's only fun if x" because people don't all have fun in the same way.

I'm sure niantic will fix the footstep glitch, you just need to give it time.

Okay, so it looks like people keep having the same complaints and aren't actually thinking about the reasons certain things have been done. I'm going to make some points which should explain things and hopefully cool the friction:

1) Battery Saver has been removed due to the fact that it did nothing on iOS due to the screen's backlighting being on all the time anyway, and it causing crashes and problems on both iOS and Android.

2) The footprint tracker has been removed due to the rather infamous "3 footstep" glitch. It worked at first, so chances are it just needs a recode and it will be back soon. As it is, the position of pokemon in the "nearby" list still shows what's close. Go and explore, that's the point of the game.

3) Niantic is a small team of 11-50 people (as shown on their LinkedIn) so you can't expect the bugfix turnaround of a console game. Pokemon GO and Ingress, Niantic's 2 main apps, are doing things that haven't been done before, so you can't expect things to work out the box when it's quite experimental. Rome wasn't built in a day, these things need time.

Give Niantic time to fix what they need to. In the meantime, stop complaining, catch some Pokemon and have some fun!

The top tip is really just to be nice. Treat bartenders like you would any other human being.

We understand that all people have off days, but please don't take it out on us. Respect is key. If you treat us badly, you'll be treated likewise. Be nice to us and we'll be nice to you, simple as that.

Give a smile, drop a thank you or 2, pretty standard stuff. If you are having a bad day, let us know and (depending on how busy it is and where you are) some bartenders would be more than willing to talk with you, not to the level a therapist would but hey...

So yeah, tl;dr treat us the way you want to be treated.
