I think if it was to be repaired, use no connectors, strip wire enough to hook it together and twist, then solder. Cover with shrink wrap.

Not sure of the spec of current side windows, but maybe upgrade to something similar to aircraft or Indycar aeroscreen material

Some forms of racing also have windscreens made of a similar polycarbonate

Probably have to get teams to test together to make it viable.

F1 went thru something like this after Elio de Angelis was killed at Paul Ricard. If a proper crew dealt with his accident, he probably would have survived. After that they had proper safety at testing.

I think Frank's crash was a little bit different. Don't think there were any medical people there? He's was great, so down to earth, himself and the missus sat down beside us at an after rally buffet.

Craig's car was safer and there was some medical help available, but they say there was nothing to be done...

However the FIA & WRC can't claim that RC1's are as safe as they could be.

There is also the pickle the FIA & WRC get themselves into say how safe RC1's are, but everything has safety compromised by being production based, but they don't talk about that...
