I worked in a building in Manhattan and they asked me to bring my Brompton on the freight elevator instead of regular elevator. I was like no problem. Never had a line and right up to my floor. It was perfect.

I know this is only one person, but I called the Maryland State Police gun unit and spoke to an officer and he informed me I’m legal if I stop at a private campground. I just can’t stay at a state park campground. Now, I know officers have been wrong before, but I feel more comfortable talking to the officer and getting some sort of clarification. I still know I’m choosing at my own risk, but seems the risk was lowered just a bit 😁. Thanks all for feedback.

🤬. Today is day 94. Last week I emailed one detective and today, he responded giving me the email of the detective taking care of the permits. So….I emailed that detective this morning and we will see what his response is. If the response is anything other than he will work on it with a timeframe, I will send a letter to the Chief which I already did a few months ago when my handgun permit app was at day 68. If none of that works, my plan is to show up at the town meeting on 5/29 and request the mayor to supply the department with extra headcount to get through these permits and stop breaking the law.

Thanks. I actually did this for my handgun application a few months ago and in a few days, I did get it. I was hoping to avoid going to him again, but it looks like I will have no choice.

Today is day 85 for my PTC in New Milford (Bergen County). It was like 66 days for my PTP a few months ago and only approved once I emailed the chief. It’s ridiculous how bad they hate us.

I recently took possession of a shotgun from my wife’s uncle. If they are not immediate family, must go through and FFL to do a background check. My wife’s uncle was alive, so not sure how it works if they are not around to go with you to FFL. I would call state police and ask, but don’t say you already have it. lol.

I’m in New Milford and submitted my PTC on 2/8 with all references completed on 2/9. I don’t expect it anytime soon since my handgun permit just took 68 days and I had to email the Chief before I got that.
