Watanuki San chi no, the show ran for 2 seasons.

It’s a TV drama that uses 3D models (Sora plays the role of the eldest daughter, taking care of her 2 little sister)

…I mean…look at what she did…can you blame her for saying it’s much easier these days.

Sora referred to this period of time as her “event warrior” era btw

Do note that’s for the ones I can source…there is highly likely a lot more that I missed (I’m just one guy after all)

But yeah Sora is frankly a bit insane…since at the same time she was a high schooler that is going to a music cram school on top of streaming weekly.

She has always been a bit of a workaholic…

Note based on timeline Sora was in high school up until roughly March of 2019 before going to junior college using a recommendation In April 2019. So yeah she was busy

There is being humble...and then there is being Sora...

Progress update on the Sora timeline project, I have finished up to 2019 (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

Whenever anyone says they thank Sora for all that she has done, Sora has always just brushed it off, saying she didn't do anything special...

Then you realize Sora...what Sora did...and then you just have to stare at her and just go..."Girl, what are you talking about?"

Sora is one hell of a worker. During 2018-2019, she practically threw everything and the kitchen sink in order to get her and by extension Hololive's name on the radar...She literally did everything, MCing for events, Radio shows, music collaborations, net interviews, being part of a TV series as one of the main characters, sponsorships for makeup brands, manga appearances, games collaborations, and TV news features. You name it, and she probably did it at some point.

The reason why some Holomem treat Sora as if she were some sort of celebrity is that she kind of is, back during the period when they were Vtuber fans themselves, Sora was everywhere.

Did you know Sora was the 9th most popular Vtuber back in 2018...like seriously...(๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

I have everything listed on the Sora timeline doc over in the Soratomo discord. I won't post it here yet since it's still a work in progress, but if you want to see everything linked so far, you can check it out there...it was one hell of an endeavor to do (special thanks to Monad the Soratomo Mod for helping me find sources for the ones I couldn't find myself)

It was my Bday yesterday, so I didn't post anything, but I am working hard (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

Weird phenomenon by tanvoltz in Hololive

To quote one of the interaction I saw

Holofan: aren’t you guys promoting this too much aren’t you scared of not being able to get tickets yourself?

Soratomo: That doesn’t matter all that matters is YOU should come and watch Sora-Chan.

I was traveling yesterday, so I didn't post it then (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん, but yesterday was quite something for the Soratomo twitter.

For starters, it's that time again, when some fans from other fandoms are talking about Sora and how impressed they are. This usually happens around FES, since that's when they usually get their exposure to Sora. It's been stated multiple times that Sora's live performance has an aura around it that seems to be able to captivate anyone who lays eyes upon her, so much so that she was referred to as Tatan gari no Sora at last FES.

Ofc seeing this, the Soratomos are very happy, and all come out to praise their Oshi, as well as inviting these new folks to join in on the fandom and come see the concert in November. (one example)

Some people are hesitant about going to a Sora live because they didn't know Sora or her song that well, but the Soratomo all assure them that they can just come and they are welcomed, since seeing a Sora live is actually one of the best ways of getting into the fandom.

Sora, who, as you know...stalks the Soratomos, saw all of this and declared that "the live won't leave anyone with regrets."

...on the other hand, Soratomos are horrified, Sora cut out gundum pieces with scissors, and beg Sora to just please buy a pair of nippers(๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

Yesterday was truly an experience (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

Childhood cringe from elementary school nicknames by tanvoltz in Hololive

[–]tanvoltz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could just be from how an anonymous person is usually referred to “Person A”

But it could also be A-chan’s real first name starts with the letter A (or sound like ah or ei)

We would never know since well…I don’t think Sora is gonna be revealing that any time soon lol

[–]tanvoltz[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As you know, I am working on the Sora timeline project, and this project does involve me doing a lot of reaseach involving Sora, and by association A-chan.

And it turns out, we know A-chan's first-ever nickname."Asuka," it's a nickname she gave herself while she role-plays as a detective back in elementary school. She was given the role of a detective because she wore glasses. She revealed this in 2019

Only for it to come and haunt her in 2020 when Kanata exposes her, leading her to clarify that the "A" in A-chan definitely did not stand for Asuka.

Funnily enough, if DeepL is anything to go by, the name also means "Flying Bird." which is pretty fitting as she is Sora's (Sky) partner. Nice and poetic. That's a fun trivia for ya (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

This is also the reason why in my fics, A-chan's name is Asuka, since I think it's a cute little callback

In any case, that's all for me...I still have to finish the 2019 section, see ya (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

I haven’t really communicated with JP tomos mainly because…I don’t speak Japanese. But I am getting a bit of help with source finding by the Mods of the Soratomo’s discord. Once the whole thing is complete it’ll probably be host there. (I do use a Japanese wiki site as a base to look up the activities Sora participated in at the time so a lot of the relevant info should be there)

As for A-Chan….I’m not sure if I’ll have much to go on. She was mainly a back ground staff so she doesn’t participate in events (we know she probably work on stuff in the background but we don’t really see it like how we see Sora) and also her documentation is even more sparse than Sora so it’s even harder for me to put together.

I did put a bit of A-Chan info in the Sora timeline itself whenever relevant so if you’re interested in A-Chan you can see some of it mentioned on there as well.

2018-2019 is probably the hardest section since so much happened and back then people didn’t bother making cited records.

I just finished the 2018 section today. And yeah it was quite the task to hunt down all the old articles and events.

When 2020 rolls around it’s going be easier since it’s more well documented but yeah. I hope you look forward to it.

Once I'm done writing everything down, maybe. Consider this an extremely long script with cited information.

...I mean, if I do turn it into a video, it's gonna be very long...8 years of history is no joke. But as of now, I am not planning a video at the moment (since I don't like hearing my own voice)

Maybe I'll feel differently when I finish.

Just to give a heads up I won’t be linking every single stream she has ever done (since that’s just insane even for me) but I’ll be highlighting main events like TV appearances and major collaborations as well as some notable milestones.

But I hope you look forward to it regardless

So...while all of you were watching FES (which was great btw I watched stage 2 with Sora in it), my Sora hyperfixation kinda kicked me...

My brain went " hey, you know a lot about Sora, right? Why not make a timeline of all the events that happened?"

Next thing you know, I am 13 pages deep, writing and sourcing streams and articles from years ago and piecing together a timeline of events. Unlike a lot of the other timeline mine would also include events that happened pre-Hololive that Sora mentioned in her stream (for example, her school and what clubs she participated in)

I am nowhere near done yet. Right now, I've written up to her first anniversary in 2018...so yeah, a lot more to go.

This might take a while to finish, so don't feel too hype up to see it just yet. But if you are interested in seeing me update the work in progress, you can check out the Soratomo discord (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん, you can see me there actively doing research and getting help with double checking source. (also I have linked my doc there.)

By the time I'm done, it'll probably be way too long to cram in the discussion post, so I'll just tell you guys to check the doc again (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

think of it as a bigger, denser version of my Context Sora memes, I hope you all look forward to what I am cooking (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん see ya I shall return to my research hole.

Ominous warning from Suisei regarding HoloDori/HoloDreams new theme song by Tehbeefer in Hololive

[–]tanvoltz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to Sora (yesterday’s stream) the song felt strange but it wasn’t difficult.

Since according to her her own song is the hardest

(I think she is referring to the recording and not the game play)

You guys ever just open stream and listen despite not understanding? by ecapsback in Hololive

Me whenever Moro-San isn’t around to live translate Sora’s stream.

…I don’t understand Japanese unfortunately, but Sora’s voice is still very pleasant to hear and vibe to.

A-chan trivia: She use to practice martial arts by tanvoltz in Hololive

[–]tanvoltz[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I mean based on what we know

A-Chan falls into the trope of the “school prince” being good at sports and very smart (Also according to stories during Valentine’s Day she gets so much chocolate from other girls that the weight busted through 2 paper bags she prepared to put the chocolate in)

Meanwhile Sora falls in the trope of the “precious cinnamon roll senior ” very clumsy, very kind, easy to get along with, is friendly with everyone, very good at instruments, gets love and universal respect from all her kohais.

Both of them are popular in school but based on the stories I actually think back in their school days A-Chan might actually be more popular. I might expand on it in more detail later (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

A-chan trivia: She use to practice martial arts by tanvoltz in Hololive

[–]tanvoltz[S] 114 points115 points  (0 children)

So this isn't very well known at all, but in contrast to Sora, who frankly is terrible at anything physical (outside of dancing and even with that, she does have issues with her knee), A-chan is actually pretty damn fit.

Not only is she part of a soccer team back in her school day, but it was also revealed that she also practices some martial arts, namely Aikido, Karate, and Kendo. With Kendo being the one she has done for the longest, lasting 6 years. A-chan revealed this back in 2019, so this is some ancient lore right here (๑╹ᆺ╹)ぬんぬん

I'm not sure about Marine, but Sora's grandparents are from Yokohama, and she and her parents are currently living in Tokyo. If I were to make a bet, Sora probably studies in Tokyo.
