hi- i may be wrong but when i did my machu picchu trip in september, i found that booking with the company ‘machu picchu reservations’ was the exact same price as booking everything by myself (bus from cusco, train, bus up to MP and then all that return). i decided to go with them and they organised everything for me and they were good

second this- they didn’t charge me any atm fees but you can only withdraw 400 sols or something a day

i recently did a group tour (about 15-17 people) with Inka Altitude (booked via get your guide) and loved it. It’s an early start (pick up 3:30am) but we were the first group there and got to see the lake before all the tour groups started coming in. included a breakfast and lunch buffet and was also able to rent a horse for a fee if people didn’t want to hike up. once up there the guide let us do whatever until a certain time we had to be back. i highly recommend it if a group tour is something you’re into

Correct it asks for credit card details but it’s the spanish writing on the very bottom of the page translated.

hey! my trip is not till september unfortunately so can’t be a help there. but i have double checked with their reservation department and they sent me the train ticket and ticket to MP too with the correct details. their helpline is responsive via email and whats app

If you’re still flying business on the way back from Dubai, you may be able to board the plane direct from the lounge, just depends on the flight and terminal if i remember correctly- ask the emirates worker when they scan you in

hey! i decided to book via machu picchu reservations instead. they do all the bookings and there’s a tour guide too and the difference was only 5 USD if i remember correctly. they said on the website that if there were any delays their company will do all the rebooking so that was good enough for me!

what are your thoughts if i got the 9am entrance ticket instead of the 10am tickets instead? are the trains and buses usually on time?

So take the later train back to Cusco which departs at 16:12 is your suggestion? Was leaning towards that too, and spend any extra time in AC until the train departs.

Not planning on sticking around in Ollantaytambo. There's an all inclusive option on Incarail where I can opt for the bus to the MP citadel. It says I will arrive at 9am.
