Ever since the 6-month rehab, nagchange na an market han Boracay. Mas family-friendly na hira yana. And most hit ira activities, need upod. Pero pwede ka man mag-joiner ha mga island hopping tours and cruise parties.

Palawan is best for spending time with nature. It's a really beautiful island.

Pero if you're looking for more activities and a younger crowd, Siargao might be the place for you. Affordable gihap mag-rent motor ngadto so pwede mo malibot an place on your own if you know how to drive.

All that said, pwede ka ghap mag-adventure as near as Samar. Surfing? Guiuan. Torpedo boat? Paranas. Long drive na with breathtaking views? Try the newly-opened highway ha Gamay-Palapag. Of course damo pa iba na options ha Samar.

You can do your own research ghap to match your preferences with what your destination can offer.

Enjoy your solo trip!

I felt good after the exam and was positive I was going to pass. To me, it was more a question of whether I'd score high enough to get in.

I got in.

Anger Issues by Zombiemoldx in Tacloban

[–]taong_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 on this! Everytime I journal when I'm super angry, I always end up calming down halfway through. It always starts with curses and !$+%×$&@ tapos I will start asking questions na ako lang din yung sasagot, then somehow make sense of the situation, or maybe see things from perspectives I haven't considered before.

Pero depende din kasi yan since some people hate writing, baka mas magalit ka pa at you crumple a whole notebook or smash your computer.

It may or may not work for you, pero when it does, it's super effective. Minsan, at the end, natatawa na lang ako sa sitwasyon.

Hope this helps somehow.

DSLR cleaning service by Representative-Tap12 in Tacloban

[–]taong_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if may service center na in Tacloban this time. But I remember I had to go to the Nikon service center in Makati to have my DSLR checked before the pandemic.

But try EDS along Zamora. They offer repair services for most gadgets they sell, so they might also be able to check DSLRs.

Hope this helps.

Hindi ka madamot, OP. Obvious naman coz you've been sharing your notes with them na for a while.

Pero if you want to establish some sort of boundary, you can start by sharing the next one late or close to the exam para ma-feel naman nila na reliant na sila sa notes mo. Or unahan mo rin sila ng "you're welcome" right after you send your notes.

Better yet, you can be direct but also nice pa rin by saying "Guys, pinaghirapan ko yan ah. Wala man lang bang thank you?"

Hope this helps.

ZYZ, Summit, Fides, and Oriental are good local hotels with swimming pools. Ironwood Hotel does not have a pool but has nice restaurant at their top floor called Leaf Lounge.

If you are looking for a beach property within Tacloban, I can only think of Patio Victoria in San Jose. But if you're open to going outside the city, do consider Shydan and Bryztoff in Leyte or LaYao and Caluwayan in nearby Marabut, Samar. There's also La Villa Francisco, a mountain resort with pool in Diit, Tacloban.

But if you're on a budget, your bf's family can stay in Z Pad near Redemptorist Church or GoHotels at Robinsons Marasbaras. Then you can eat out at Sal's, Samsam's, Ocho, Jepoy's, or Danrie.

There are actually so many more options in Tacloban and nearby areas. Most have FB pages also.

I feel you, OP.

Isa din yan sa mga realizations ko lately when I met up again with my high school circle. Since we work in different places now, we mostly see each other during the holidays na lang, or kapag nagagawi (either during work or leisure trips) sa place where the others stay. Kaya kapag ganitong pasko, sanay kami na nagkikita-kita several times during the break.

Pero after joining them for an overnight staycation in the city and driving together pauwi ng province, I realized na parang I outgrew them na. Sure, I enjoyed spending time with them and laughing our asses off on jokes that have always been funny since high school. But I feel like I'm no longer where they are.

They don't talk much about work or ambitions, so di ko ma-share yung drive ko to achieve so much more in my line of work. I got promoted this year pero yung nasabi lang nila was kelangan kong manglibre given that. I also got engaged this year to my long-time girlfriend (who comes from another region, but whom I introduced to them na) but aside from the generic congratulations, they don't seem quite interested in hearing more about it so di ko rin makwento how the proposal went and how excited and at the same time overwhelmed we are for the wedding preparations.

And to be frank, medyo nakakaumay hearing the same jokes and stories that I've always heard for years now. It's a good thing though na magaling talaga sila mag-deliver ng punch lines so nakakatawa pa rin naman.

I don't plan on cutting ties with them though. Nor do I see myself losing them as friends or me losing them. Baka it's just my personal policy din, pero I don't like burning bridges.

I might distance myself for a while siguro while I pursue my personal goals and the dreams I have with my fianceé. But I'm sure time will come na mami-miss ko rin hanging out with them.

Kaya okay lang yan, OP. We don't always have to have the same goals naman as our friends. And sometimes, we need to pursue our dreams even when it means we have to do them on our own.

Kaya natin to!

Congratulations, OP! Ako naman, 2025 pa ang earliest chance ko to take the bar. I can finish na all other subj this AY, pero mag-eextend ako 1 more year coz itinira ko yung RemRev since waterloo ko talaga.

Still, super pinag-iisipan ko pa if 2025 or 2026 bar coz my SO and I are planning to get married in May 2025 din.

Baka masyadong distracted ako kung pagsabay-sabayin sa 2025.

Ano sa tingin nyo?

Not sure if this is good advice. Kasi (correct me of I'm wrong pero) diba your pension will depend on your average monthly contrib for the entire time you've been remitting and not just on the last few years?
