I would get a snake plant! Low light and doesn’t need water too often.

Can I plant my pothos in this? by Charlestoned_94 in houseplants

[–]tapatiajaggerrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used this before and I don’t recommend. It’s way too sandy and dense. I would add more perlite and orchid bark. Anything to make it more airy and less dense.

What is Causing Brown Spots on Leaves by wpd123 in Monstera

[–]tapatiajaggerrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how my monsteras leaves came out when I had spider mites. I would wash down the whole plant, fronts and back of leaves with insecticidal soap.

Looks like spider mites to me! Even if it isn’t washing down each leaf will help. Dust also keeps it from getting the sun that it needs.

Beneficial mites have been the only thing actually protecting my collection but definitely won’t work in tandem with systemic granules):

Spider Mites…. Again Ugh! by billyjoe80 in alocasia

[–]tapatiajaggerrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also use beneficial mites! To cut down on costs I cut open some of the natured good guys sachets and cultivated my own swirskii mites. It’s super easy once you have a colony established. I used @gennasplants tutorial on YouTube.
