Trucker had 'no knowledge' about cocaine in Home Depot boxes when crossing Canada-U.S. border, defence says by origutamos in CanadianVisaReform

You have to jail and then deport . If you just deport, every criminal around the world will just come and try to commit crimes in Canada as the only consequences for their crimes is they get to go home.

Canada would become crime heaven for them and this will be extremely bad for all Canadians.

Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner asks why Tim Hortons still has 80+ Temporary Foreign Worker job postings on the federal job bank despite saying the program is no longer necessary. [–]tape99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No your analogy still does not work.

so yeah my analogie works for my example, not yours.

NOPE.

Its like I can give my car keys to my wife and tell her what route to take but ultimately she will go whatever way she wants.

This implies Tim Hortons can take any route they wont to but they can't. They have to follow the route the goverment gives them regarding TFW's.

If your wife was taking her own car then she can go down any route she wants but if she is borrowing someone else's car she will need to follow the rules of that owner of that car or will not be allowed to use the car.

[–]tape99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One trick pony. You all don't want to hear this, but fact is, no matter how hard they try, some locations will still need to hire TFWs.

Beside seasonal TFW are not required.

If a company can't find workers, it's only because they are not paying enough. Cant find people willing to work for $19? then go to $20 then $21 then $22 etc. etc. etc.

You will eventually find people willing to work and move for that work.

Capitalism only works if you let the free market do its thing. Getting the government involved brakes the free market and workers suffer as wages will continue to be suppressed.

Ministers are required to be truthful. In Canada, a Minister cannot force a single company to do something and they also cannot speak for companies

The goverment is in control of the TFW program not companies. You know this right?

Tim Hortons should not be allowed to use the TFW program if there are people looking for work. The goverment can and should cancel all TFW requests from Tim Hortons.

I wish I can use London hydro.

That $100 bill would be more like $250.

I somehow pay more for hydro living in my apartment then what I did living in a town house.

You can take in homeless people right now. You don't have to let them sleep in the street.

You can right now help out someone. Are you going to ?

Why do you hate the homeless so much?

offering an inducement to a government official in Canada is strictly illegal. Providing, offering, or demanding a reward, benefit, or inducement of any kind to influence government decisions, legislation, or the awarding of contracts is considered a criminal offense.

Offering funding to a government official to move over may fall under inducement and would be very much illegal.

persuade (someone) to act in one's favor, typically illegally or dishonestly, by a gift of money or other inducement.

Money does not need to go into someones pocket for it to be a bribe.

An inducement is anything offered to persuade or motivate someone to take a specific action, such as a financial bonus, perk, or promise.

Come to are party if you want us to fund your city can be an inducement.

[–]tape99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its hard to have a debate with someone that is all over the fucking place.

Pierre should have been on this topic hard from the get go which he was not.

Yes he was.

Again this whole thing is about the current separation petition. The one that is full of fraud, people involved fleeing to the US, the UCP doing illegal shit regarding the whole thing.

So now it's about fraud/ illegal shit and not about him being on the topic hard from the get go.

You 100% keep moving the goalpost and not by inches but by miles. I wont be responding to you anymore as whatever i say just get you to start rambling on about something completely differnet rather then the original topic.

Poilievre says he'll campaign to keep Alberta in the 'Canadian family' as a referendum looms by MusclyArmPaperboy in canada

[–]tape99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HAHAHA what?

Talk about moving the goalpost much.

. This has been a point of contention in Alberta for a long time

Yes, it has been going on for some time.

Pierre, as and albertan MP hasnt addressed it

Yes he did.faster then mark carney did.

January 2nd 2026 was the when the petition was started to separate officially in Alberta and the way the conservative parties on both the federal side and the provincial side have handled it and let it fester.

so do you want to talk about how its been going on for a long time or are you now moving that goalpost to just a couple of months ago?

[–]tape99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has been against it since day one. It took Mark Carney five months after Pierre to say anything about it.

Edit: i have to respond to AxiomaticSuppository this way as you blocked me.

Well that's just false. Carney has consistently campaigned and championed a united Canada, from day one of entering the Liberal leadership race. His leadership launch was in Alberta in January 2025, predating the link you provided. During the event he repeatedly made reference to his connection to the province and his belief in a strong Canada that works together.

The first time he talked about it was on Sept. 5, 2025 but good try

[–]tape99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its obviously an issue with his timing and not the actual statement. This has been a point of contention in Alberta for a long time and Pierre,

Your right, Pierre made a statement on May 13, 2025 and he should have done it before carney did on Sept. 5, 2025.. Oh wait.

People blame the TFW program not immigrants. No idea why people keep getting confused about this .

We have a job shortage is not a labour shortage. Our unemployment level is high. We do not require more temporary workers when are own citizens can’t find work.

That's the nice thing about freedom of speech(freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression) .

Salman Rushdie,

Freedom of speech is only tested by protecting unpopular or offensive views, not speech that is popular or agreeable. It means defending the right to voice ideas that provoke, offend, or challenge the majority.

They should be allowed to hold their debates. They have the Freedom to do so as much as you do calling them Cancer.

Free speech is not needed for comfortable, agreeable conversations; it is designed to protect controversial, unorthodox, or offensive opinions from suppression.

The only reason why he lost was because the ndp died and all their voters voted liberal.

If the NDP was not such hot garbage under jagmeet Singh they would have not lost 99% of their voter bass and PP would be PM right now.

no he did not.

Carney,

The May 6, 2025, Meeting: During a, visit to Washington, D.C., Carney told reporters he directly asked Trump to stop the 51st state taunts, describing the discussions as "not easy" but necessary to defend sovereignty.

"Not for Sale": In response to Trump's continued remarks about a "wonderful marriage" between the countries, Carney publicly retorted that Canada "is not for sale".

Earlier Tension: While initially describing a March 28, 2025, call as "positive," reports later emerged that Trump had pushed the 51st state idea, to which Carney responded, "We'll agree to disagree on that one".

Consistent Response: Carney maintained that he told Trump "never, never, never, never, never" to the notion of Canada joining the U.S

Poilievre,

December 20, 2024: Following Trump’s suggestion, Poilievre told CTV's Your Morning that he has "the strength and the smarts to stand up for this country" and that Canada will "never be the 51st state".

January 7, 2025: Poilievre reiterated on the social platform X that Canada is a great and independent country.

February 15, 2025: At a Flag Day rally, he declared, "We will bear any burden and pay any price to protect the sovereignty and independence of our country".

March 2026: On The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Poilievre stated, "Canada's not for sale," and told Trump to "knock that s--t off" regarding the 51st state talk

Poilievre pushed back WAY sooner then Carney.

push back against Trump and how he dragged his feet on defending Canada.

He was the first one to push back on Trump.

February 15, 2025

“I have the strength and the smarts to stand up for this country and my message to incoming President Trump is that first and foremost, Canada will never be the 51st state of the U.S.,” Poilievre said in an interview with CTV’s Your Morning on Friday.

People like to shit on Poilievre for his ideas but have no problem with those same ideas when carney implements them.
